AMG E55 Swinging at Cleetus & Cars Burnout Contest - LS Fest West 2019 Day 1

Big Mercedes-AMG wagon hangs with the other big boys in the big burnout competition on the first day of LS Fest West.

While a few of us lost our shirts on the Kentucky Derby this past weekend, we all at MBWorld were in Vegas for the 2019 edition of LS Fest West. The annual gathering happens to be a celebration of the General Motors LS engine, so it might be a bit out of place for us Mercedes fans to be there.

And yet, there were than a few Benzes around that happened to have LS power under the hood, like this AMG E55 we witnessed smoking everyone up in the festival’s burnout competition.

The competition, hosted by YouTube personality Cleetus McFarland, was held on the first and second day of the festival in its Side Show pit. And what a side show it was.

The big AMG E55 hung with the other LS-powered big boys as it swung its big weight around, leaving everyone of us and the car blanketed in tons of tire smoke.

The top prize for each competition was $2,500 to the one who made the best smoke from their meaty rubbers. We don’t know if the E55 took home the big prize on the first day, but if it didn’t, we’re surprised. How can you not crown this big wagon the winner?
