AMG G63 Gets ‘Tuner’ Special, Squats Low, Flashes High
Instagram render of the AMG G63 with exposed quad turbos, flares and super-low stance has us on the fence, but it is still a sight to see.
Instagrammer/automotive design artist Al Yasid Oozeear, (aka yasiddesign) is known for doing renderings on a menagerie of vehicles—Ford, Dodge, Chevy, BMW, Audi, you name it. But it’s this AMG G63 rendering that’s got us doing multiple takes.
Glossy black G-Wagen squats impossibly low for an SUV, but looks so mean. Pair that with an aggressive, murdered-out front fascia and you’ve got trouble.
Turbos Galore
Oozeear’s design replaces the AMG G63’s concealed biturbo setup with a set of four, huge turbos in the bumper and in the upper grille, connected to an exposed intercooler. While we won’t go into the spatial limitations of such a configuration (it is a render, after all), we’re sure someone figured out how do this in real life. With frame surgery, proper heat shielding and ceramic coating, etc.
AMG G63 Rear End
Moving to the rear, the stance looks even more interesting. While the wide fender flares are nice accents, the exhaust tips are blackened and blended into the bumper. They’re subtle, and nearly invisible at first glance. Nonetheless, the look is a nice contrast compared to the garish chrome exits on the front turbos.
Revisiting the stance once more, yes it looks ridiculous, however airbags can remedy that. Still, imagine seeing this on the street or highway blowing right past you with ungodly amounts of boost. It reminds us a lot of this, only with a better motor, of course.
What do you all think? Could you see yourself in such a crazy-looking AMG G63? Let us know in the forums.
