Restored Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda Unveiled

The Mercedes-Benz W113 SL Pagoda is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

In celebration, Mercedes-Benz Classic Center has completely restored a 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda. The luxury vehicle features a 2.8 liter engine with a four-speed manual transmission. It also features a two-tone coating of light ivory and dark olive while its interior is adorned with leather.

The China division of Mercedes-Benz is being investigated along with two other auto manufacturers by the Administrative Center for Defective Products of China or the DPAC since it supposedly used asphalt on vehicles as sound deadeners. Mercedes Debuts Five New Models At New York Autoshow

Mercedes-Benz is set to introduce five new car models at the upcoming New York International Auto Show.

The upcoming launch of the new vehicles will include the world premiere of the high-performance Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG Coupe and the battery-powered Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive. In addition to these two new models, the show will also see the US debut of the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG “Edition 507”, the all-wheel drive Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model wagon, and the latest series-production model of the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class.

F1: Lewis Hamilton and His Malaysian GP Pit Stop Gaffe

Lewis Hamilton scored his first podium finish for the Mercedes AMG Petronas team on Sunday at the 2013 Malaysian Grand Prix, incidentally the team’s home race. While the newcomer had a great race overall, he did have one funny moment on the circuit. On his first pit stop, a tire change in Lap 8, the former McLaren driver actually went into the McLaren pit stop box, which many of course found amusing.
