We like to celebrate our forum members here at MBWorld, especially when they buy their first Mercedes ever. For instance, take our newest member, cheatham25. He just bought a 2015 S550 and is already absolutely in love with the car. We would like to learn about your first Mercedes-Benz, too. Tell us about it after the jump.
The Americans and the Germans are at it again. This time, thankfully, it’s not over the skies of Poland, but in a Malibu parking garage. The following video shows a rev battle between Mercedes’ newest biturbo V12-powered S65 AMG and a Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Watch it after the jump.
Hybrid cars, including those of the plug-in variety, have been on the road for quite a while. By now, I thought the perception of them as slow or boring would have gone away, especially since models such as the Porsche 918 and Ferrari LaFerrari exist. I guess I was wrong. Mercedes-Benz is pushing the point that its upcoming 2015 S-Class Plug-In Hybrid is no snoozer-cruiser. Find out more about it after the jump.
Because it’s that most wonderful time of the year, and because every member of MBWorld is on our list, we’re gifting you our collection of the best spy shots from the past 12 months, all wrapped up for the holidays.
I get the feeling that when Autoblog tested the Mercedes-Benz S550 Coupe, the Billy Joel song “Just the Way You Are” was playing through its speakers. In the site’s review of the S63 AMG Coupe, it basically tells the less-powerful two-door, “Don’t go changing to try and please me.” Autoblog seems to love it just the way it is. That’s not to say the publication hates the S63, though. See what I mean after the jump.
If you drive a big ‘ol Mercedes, you should be able to drive it however the hell you like, especially during a lovely jaunt in the country. Alas, a man’s peace at the wheel can be greatly affected by one terrible thing: Tailgaters. That is one thing we, and Robert Loggia, “cannot tolerate.”
Mansory, surprisingly, didn’t go all freaky with the M1000, which is based on the new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG, and left the exterior rather subdued. That’s a good thing because there’s 1,000 horsepower under the hood, making this sedan one of the best sleepers ever.
