Rendered: Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG Black Series

As if the CLA45 AMG wasn’t producing enough power from its 2.0L turbo four-banger, here we go dreaming about a Black Series variant.

As it is, the CLA45 AMG is tuned to the ragged edge of its life with 355 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Mercedes-Benz claims a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds. It’s a long shot, but if Mercedes can wring 400 horsepower out of its already tortured 2.0-liter without making it laggy like a Porsche 930 Turbo, I will charter an AMG house of worship to celebrate their miracle.

Will this rendered CLA45 AMG Black Series become a reality? Mercedes-Benz’s lips are super-glue sealed. We say don’t hold your breath on this one. Just enjoy the talented Anton Gjorsev’s rendering.
