News out of Germany confirms that Mercedes-Benz will be releasing their Porsche 911 fighter come 2016. We know it as the SLC. Despite having a lot of sporty 2-door models, Mercedes really doesn’t have a dedicated smallish sports car. Tentative pricing rumors slot the SLC between a Carrera S and a 4S.

Mercedes-Benz SL Models Receive AMG Treatment

The Mercedes-Benz SL model was given a facelift recently by the luxury car manufacturer. The modifications include the addition of some equipment and will be included in the models that will come out of the production line in June.
Although the equipment added into the AMG Sports models are priced at £6,625 the price tags of the vehicles have gone down. The Mercedes-Benz SL350 AMG Sports is priced at £69,960, which is lower than the £72,520 of the SL350.

But AMG has officially thumbed down diesels as an option on cars that bear its logo. This is a breath of fresh air for enthusiasts who have lately seen iconic brands, such as BMW’s M, being watered down for the sake of marketing.
