C43 Supercharged....almost LOL....
Knowing that something would happen small or large we hit our umteenth wall on tuesday. First thing to happen to us was not having the proper fittings for the adj.FMU which put us a day behind. Second was breaking a rigid vacuum line running from the brake booster to the TB($45) from MB, 3 day wait. Then came waiting over the weekend to borrow the fan wrench from my tech. Then came the two day debate on how to run the oil breather lines. On tuesday we started to re-install the fan and longer belt. After quickly noticing the S/C pulley was about 1/2in off from the pulley system we realized we were missing a 1/2in shim bracket and two idler pullies I thought we had. I have to say that HPS was good enough to immediatly overnight the 3 parts. I recieved them yesterday at work and by the time I got to the garage it was way to hot and late to start that. The garage is now closed until monday for some race event they attend....it's a sitting duck until monday
Also, it's been timely because there is very little we can get from the instruction manual. We stoped refering to it after the first day as it causes much confusion with my model. Let's say I(we) learned alot about benz motors the last two weeks...not to mention every parts run(order) eats up a day of progress.

I'm sending all the positive energy I can muster after my companys earnings call. It isn't much (pummelled in after hours trading), but every little bit helps

Thanks for the hope guys.
I'm starting to think that I could have hired someone else to do this much faster. I mean the only reason I sent it in was to get it done and to prevent me from having the car in pieces at home for two weeks. Well, it ends up in pieces somewhere else for two weeks. Sure there where setbacks, but the car should be done today or tomorow with whats left. It's sitting there locked up for the next three days which I have off. I could have it at the house finished this damn weekend! This monday will be two weeks. I told the guy that if he can't devote time to finish it by tuesday I'm comming by with a flatbed. I'm starting to loose interest to be honest. WTF.

In the end all things worked out. Drove it all day yesterday. I can't help but laugh out loud every time I floor it. Holy Sh*t!!! 2nd gear chirps violently 90% of the time!! 1st gear is pointless LOL!
Also, I think I have the best luck to date. The car pulled 360HP and about 380TQ at the wheels in SAE form. The STD numbers on another pull were 342HP and about 370TQ. Compared to baseline, thats about 107HP 120TQ + at the wheels..... I had it dynoed twice as I didn't believe the numbers either? The installer wasn't sure what to expect so it meant nothing to him.
I will scan and post the dyno's today or probably tomorow. A/F ratio was good at 12.29 and a tiny bit rich at idle. I'm currently trying to find a video camera so I can get an action video for you guys.
More to come.......thanks for wondering about the ole' beast.
