In the US there are only 2.3L Haynes for older models. 2.6 in English language are available but from the UK and I don't know how relevant US versions are to UK version cars.

There is an online source for factory manuals: http://mb.braingears.com/201_Chassis.htm

Good luck ;-)

Regarding MTI's response: I believe the manual identified as item 2191 is more applicable as it covers the M103 engine (2.6 in the 190E). Be aware that there are variants of the M103.

I think that the above manual and "84-88 190 Gas Haynes Workshop Manual 4cyl", item 2189 would provide a pretty comprehensive maintenance instruction.

One issue I have with the manuals on the subject sight is the price. "OUCH", $48 for a Haynes manual. I got my from Pep Boys for $14.

FYI: I purchased an OEM manual on CD-ROM off EBAY. The packaging looks very similar to CD-ROM manuals sold on the subject website. The manual I have was scanned from a paper manual into PDF (Adobe) format. Some of the images are blurred, some of the written data was mis-scanned (i.e. the program mis-reads letters and numbers and 8's become 9's, i's become l's, c's become o's, etc.). Finally, the format of the manual can make locating specific data in the PDF file challenging. If you get one of these, I would not pay more that $20.

Good luck

Put your Anglo-phobic fears aside. The manual is based on the UK model, but except for the location of the driver's seat, steering and climate controls, the US models are the same. The 2.3L book is also based on the UK model and I have been using it for years without problem on my North American car.

The lenses are the main things that differ when comparing the LHD vs. RHD headlamp units.
