Gas mileage of 190E 2.3 and 2.6

I was curious what's the gas mileage like of a 190E 2.3 4-cylinder and a 190E 2.6 6-cylinder.

2.6 liter.... its VERY sensitive to driving habbits.

I drive mine between San Diego and San Francisco almost once a month. If I am in a hurry, 20 average, not in a hurry 24. In the City, i would say about 20-22. Car is geared pretty low, so that must be why city is not much diff than freeway.

Keep in mind, i have a lead foot, and am a firm believer in A/C so you may be able to get better.

Yes, speeding ruins good gas mileage. Anyone else have any results?

I get around 24 per gallon in my 2.6. I am in the highway a lot though.

See sig.
With almost all city driving (only about 40 miles out of 220 on the freeway), I got about 19mpg on the 2.6. Freeway drives between the SF Bay and OC (averaging about 80mph), I was getting about 26mpg.

My 2.3 gets about 18-20 mixed due to my lead foot! Hard to drive my W203 then get in the W201 since the 190 is slow compared to the C. Then again I just floor it too much!!!!

I am sure if my wife drove it for a full week she would get about 24. She does get about 4MPG more than me in the W203 when she was working and driving it everyday. Funny I still drive the 190 on a daily basis even though I have a nice 6 speed C class in the garage!
