New headlights (pics)
I didnt know how to edit my last thread to say it has pics in the subject so just scroll down if you already read this. Enjoy guys. I need new paint, and im getting the S grill soon(love bugs chipped the black piaint off the one i have now on the trim and the insert i had to break off to get to my hood latch one night after replacing my radiotor my cousin didnt re atach the hood release lol). Painting the outer trim black and the hood star black like i have it now, keeping the crome insert. I also took off the 2.6 on the rear and painted the rear star and the 190e badge black.
Ok, some of you might recall me purchasing the all black headlights off ebay. Then, I dropped one of them and bought a new pair.
I finally put them in tonight. Thank you to everyone who gave me the advice on how to, the video tutorial REALLY helped a lot. I Ended up loosing the euro connectors so I just pulled apart the 4 prong that the car came with and slid them over the new ones after some trial and error. They work just fine. I didnt use the day runners. I dont know if I want to yet. They look much better!
Pro's - Front end looks much nicer. The black housing looks great on my white paint. The light is much brighter. The lights look a lot better when they are on too. Hopefully I will be able to see when it rains now =) They fit pretty well.
Con's - My fog lights seem to point up. Like really up. Ill have to take a pic to show the aligment. They are non adjustable as far as I can see. But I kinda like it. I got fog in the lens from the heat and cold. Ill have to reseal them, maybe I wont lol. Its not too bad.
Pics up tomorrow. I only have night pics now. Ill take some day ones then post them up.
My grill insert is missing. Dont ask. lol

I personally can't stand those headlights. I think they should have been made where the inner light is smaller than the outer light, and is offset vertically, sort of like this crappy picture...

They are glass. Im 100% sure they are glass because the first pair I bought I dropped from about 15ft and they shattered lol.
I bought them off Ebay. All the people seeling them seem to have the same product. I ordered the wire converter thing but never used it. I just pulled apart the factory one, and slid the conectors together. They fit pretty tight and arent showing any sign of movment. Pretty simple install too.
I dont know what you mean exactly by clear covers?
Thanks for the comments and critics. Im loving them over stock. Ill take some better pics once I get the grill in and I wash it.

I was refering to the fact that the lights sit prety far back.... I was wondering if there was a piece that sat flush with the hood/grill... In the first picture, it looks like I see a reflection on the right side of the car....

Im still 100% on what your asking lol. The entire frame is the same size and pretty much shape as the stock ones. They wouldn normally sit at the same level as the stock ones in comparision to the grill but My grill is bent away from my car from when I have to rip it off after not attacking the hood lack when I replaced my raiator. Also the reaons I dont have a grill insert because that broke.
The outsdie demnsions are very simular to stock. I think thats what you are asking. I can take some more pic from any angle you wish just give me an idea of what your going for.
Thank you everyone for your honest opinions.
The black do look kinda ricey. But im also thinking of painting the whole car black. All of it. I want it compltly blacked out. IDK. still in the early phases and im not sure how long ill be keeping it for.

once i decide to get another car. Probably for summer. Im giving this car to a friend of mine. He likes the lights. Plus the OEM are nasty looking. They donr produce enough light, and they are old. At least the fog light part is.

I dont think so. I still have no signs of a leaking head gasket. My oil comes out clean and perfect every 3k miles. I replaced my radiator. I checked my valves and they look clean. I think it was already done but no one flushed the coolant. So Ill just have to wait. Im thinking of getting the fluid flushed soon. and getting MB fluid for it.
