Stuck in gear

Stuck in gear
This happened to me again today. Usually it happens, it will get stuck in 5th gear and I will restart the car, and it goes away. Well today I was driving, normally, and it gets stuck in 5th gear. So I pull up to a light, restart it, and drive off. Then a mile down the road it gets stuck in 6th gear. CEL came on for the first time ever. Restart the car, CEL still on, stuck in 4th now. I am going to call the dealer tomorrow and see if I can get it in ASAP. Do you guys think this is serious? To me it seems like a computer problem, because when it restarts it shifts back down to 1st/2nd.

hmmm. Doesnt sound good. My car was stuck in gear last November and it came to my attention that my transmission was gone. Had to be replaced. I would get it looked at ASAP before you do any major damage.
Did kinda the same thing. After a restart or reset it would goto 1 and acted pretty much normal. Be careful!

clk 320 stuck in gear
Have you guys had any trouble with gear shifting on a CLK 320?
Mine seems to be stuck in one gear.
At 30 MPH it was reving up past 4000 rpm and wouldn't go to the next gear. It also seems to "lurch" when I first put it in drive. going up the driveway, I
practically have to floor the accelerator to get it up.
I've heard it could be a shifter bushing or a battery related problem or something wrong with the transmission.
Ideas on how to troubleshoot this?
