The Godfather's E55 Build Thread-Carbon Goodies and new wheels 06/21/2009
In a bid to keep my multiple self whoring threads consiced and in one single post, I decided to do an MJ50 style one and put all my stuff in there. Also, for some odd reason, after the last few threads I've posted, I've been getting bombarded by questions via PM and emails asking me about aspects of the car and I'm tired of sounding like a broken record lol. So for all of you newbies (and vets) who wonder about a couple things on my ride, I hope that you will find your answers here.
With that said, I will post the car in its current configuration and provide you with my mod list as it stands today (not that substantial like MJ50 or MBenzNL LOL).
I also want to take a moment to thank the three companies that have helped me tremendously to get the car to where it is today, and in no particular order:
Harbor Motorsports aka HMS, out of Westminster, CA. Top notch family owned business, even more top notch work! Whatever you need done, they will do it. Truly an amazing bunch of people, and super friendly as well! www.harbormotorsports.net
Euroteck Motorsports. What can be said about them? With Neal at the helms, he created key pieces of modding that W211 55's cannot live without. Oustanding quality and reputation. Bar none, best in the Carbon Fiber business! www.euroteckmotorsports.com www.etkms.com
Sonic Motorsports, from Mountain View, CA. That's my NorCal connection. Darwin runs the show with a tight crew like you wouldn't believe. White glove service for sure! I have dealt with him in person and from afar, and whether I get work done there, or he ships me out parts, you can be damn sure his word his golden and he will not let you down. www.sonicms.net
I will update the thread as I get more stuff done to the car and post new pics in here as well. Enjoy!

OK, that Dyno Video was AWESOME. The music leading to the actual dyno pull was hilarious ! ! !
Anyway, I really like the car and the attention to detial you have put on it. Keep up the good work dude.
BTW, I saw NY Plates on there. Where in NY are you ? I'm originally from NYC (Manhattan) and I moved out here to Cali only about 3 years ago.

4 wheeled car.
The city lights are 6000K (or close to it) and are regular bulbs. The headlight bulbs are HID bulbs. No LEDs anywhere.
Thanks man! I got the MAFIA plate in NYC when I visited, they are fake and were used at car shows I'm in CA.
Only to imitate the look of a grey market car. Kinda to show that "oh look the car was in France before and now came to the US" kinda looks. It's not everyone's favorite mod though

sick car def, nice and low, i see that you used those links to lower it, how hard is it to install/adjust height, and are the shocks under stress for being that low? Also how does it ride compared to stock
thanks

Hey...you got rid of the station wagon Audi? Now I can't make fun of you anymore. Well, I can still make fun of you for the "5.5" badges on the sides.
Car looks nice man.

4 wheeled car.
It's easy to install the front links. The rear is a pita b/c it's so small of a space to access. I'm sure the shocks are stressed more than at stock height, but who cares It's bouncier for sure being that low, but I can live with it.

^^ thanks for the help i think im gonna go ahead an order the links it sure saves a few $$$ over the module plus once i slam the car i intend on keeping it that low just wondering once the car is dropped can you still use the lift button to raise the car up?.
You also said the ride is a bit bouncier which i guess is normal cause the lower you go the stiffer/bouncier will get, but your height is perfect (for me at least) and im sure the ride will still be better then shocks/springs or coilovers which i had on all of my previous cars
