5.5 AMG badge idea

I thought that the 6.3 AMG side fender badge was cool. Does anyone know who can make custom badges?

Too bad 55's dont have a 5.5 liter... Its a 5.4 liter engine. (Not trying to be an ***, just a common misconception.)

you know, i was wondering about that. some website / magz says 5.4L... but brochure from AMG says 5.5..

The 6.3s are actually 6.2 liter V8

Personally I think the new 63 models look great with that badging on the side. As for 6.3 vs. 6.2 and 5.4 vs 5.5 who cares?

Hey if you can get those made and they look just as good as the OEM 6.3 ones I'll buy a set. I'll actually take 2 sets, so I can have a back up.

One of the things I always like about my C32 was the V6 Kompressor emblems.
Ever since I've purchased my C55 I have been debating putting something on the front fenders like "V8" or 5.5AMG and feel it would add a nice touch. I've searched around and really haven't found anything that looks good other than V8. Was there ever anymore development of the 5.5AMG emblem idea since this thread was originally posted??

a quarter mile at a time
engine displacement figures were always rounded up to the next tenth, hence the 5.5 and 6.3 monikers.

funny, I learned about the displacement after I created my username when joining this forum. I signed up when I was just looking at the C32/C55s and thought it truly the 55 had a fivepointfiveV8. I think there are many car makes out there that indicate a higher displacement.

I'd be interested in a set too...though I haven't seen anybody make it. Yeah, I've been looking around. checked ebay.

I'm hoping MB will will make it for AMG models that stay on the 5.5 (NA or SC).

When my father was stationed in South Korea, those guys could copy/make anything from tennis shoes, customized coins, luggage, Rolex watches, etc. Maybe if someone knows someone stationed over there they could inquire. The customized coins would probably be the closest comparison.

If some how someone makes this happen, I would be up for some "3.2 AMG" badges. One thing I did not like about the V6 Kompressor is that it's to fricking long for the fender IMO.
