Kleemann Power Upgrades for your CDI or BlueTec

Those of you with CDI and BlueTec diesels already know what amazing vehicles they are, with ample torque, small-car fuel economy, and Mercedes refinement to boot.

With Kleemann's available power upgrades, however, your MB diesel just got even sweeter!

Here is a breakdown of the two options for your CDI or BlueTec diesel:

Kleemann KD-Box:
-bolt-on/plug and play installation
-increases fuel pressure separately from ECU
-adds 30 hp and 80 lb-ft

The KD-Box installs inline with the OE fuel rail pressure sensor. It requires no modification of existing wiring, and is completely and easily removable if necessary.

We recommend this upgrade for most customers, due to the ease of installation/removal, and hp/tq for the buck.

But if you want the next level of power, and your top speed limiter removed, Kleemann does offer this:

Kleemann ECU Re-programming:
-must be removed and sent off for reflash
-removes top speed limiter
-adds 40 hp and 100 lb-ft

ECU Reflash Procedure (US Customers)- after the order is placed with us, we will contact Kleemann and send you a pre-paid shipping label. Once you remove the ECU from the vehicle, package it carefully, and place the label on the box. Then just drop it off for shipment.

Once the reflash is completed, usually within 1 business day of receipt, Kleemann will ship it back to you with the new software.

If you are interested in either of these upgrades, feel free to PM or ask me any questions you may have on here.

Rail pressure rampers should never be used.

The reflash might be good depending on what is done. If more pump pressure, longer duration and advanced timing is all, look for better.

It stresses the pump, overheats the fuel and makes the injectors run outside their design specs.

I see that you are a diesel specialist, why would the company sell this product if it could damage the engine. You called it a "rail ramper" is this a common technique ro a new technique? I want to increase the diesel engine and this seems to be a reasonably priced way to do it but not ath the expense of blowing the motor.

Easy money and they can blame any damage on "driver abuse".

Its little more than the old "tiny resistor in an impressive looking box" trick. A home electronics hobbyist can make one with a basic electronics board.

Its been around as long as common rail engines have.

There are plenty of ECU remappers (reprogrammers/flashers) for under $300 that will do much more than fool the computer's pump pressure and increase injection duration.

240D 3.0T has right. Normal ramppers just fools the ECU to use more fuel. The boostpressure and airflow remains the same and that makes the engine run wery hot.

But i haven't used Kleemann products so i can't say anything about them.
At least the remap thing sounds good.
