beware of this member
i entered into a sale with newbie member flashylights. the deal was for him to ship me a code 3 pulley for 400$. after agreeing on a price i noticed he had just a few posts. so i emailed him and explained without credibility on the website i wouldnt send the money blind. i asked for a paypal. he wanted me to pay the charges, so i asked to have it sent cod. he wanted me to send him the money cod for the part which i refused. he then agreed to ship it cod with bank check or money order only. agreed.
he said it was shipped on june 24. to date i havent received any parts, and after multiple calls and emails no response from him. no tracking number was ever sent. i went to ups today and they have no record of it ever being sent. same for fed ex.
so im returning my cashiers check to my bank and moving on. he may pop up in the future and i just want everyone to be careful . i wouldnt recommend sending any money before receiving your items

yeah just do paypal with a credit card next time. at least you get some protection with paypal and if you pay with credit card, and paypal doesnt help you. you can get the money back through a charge back on your credit card. visa will refund you the full amount usually within 24-48hrs.

You shouldn't do electronic transactions via debit unless you have the option to run as a credit transaction. Debit offers a lot less consumer protection then credit cards.
just get a credit card and pay it all off. then its the same as cash because of no interest.

the main issue is i really dont want to go with a crank pulley after researching all the horror stories with pulley failures. the c3 is the easiest way to increase boost without a tune required. the problem i have is the customer service of brandon. way to issues and horror stories. so getting a used 1 in good shape seems like a way for me to get what i want. may have to wait a while. good thing this car is scary fast in stock form!!

your car will be safe as long as you get someone to professionally install it....and by somebody i mean someone who is MB certified or is an MB certified tech or something
i definitely understand the code3 customer service issues....not to mention he screwed over some people on our forum bigtime

crank pulley is safe now. upgraded water pump pulley is now safe and durable and better idler bearings are used. i was always scared of doing a crank pulley. and i actually left it originially. i went from EVOSPORT 178 to CODE3 s/c pulley to LET185....and i'm glad i did.
