I like the above emblem too, but with the color combo of my ride I decided for about the exact same thing, just in black and chrome. Also a very good quality eblem.

Just go to the dealer and buy the badge for the new C series. It pops in and costs all of $35. It's authentic and looks the part.

It's personal taste. If someone is looking to go flat badge without having to go through some random guy, it's a nice option. Personally I don't care for the made up AMG badge, I prefer OEM parts.

OEM or not (even though it's a C part and not an AMG part #), I'm willing to bet that those cheap plastic cosmetic bits come from an offshore MB vendor.

I've found (and I've had other same style enamel badges on other cars) that if you put on a coat of UV wax over the badge, it keeps any fading at bay. YMMV.
