His are definitely the best and that's why I bought one; I just wish mine hadn't discolored so badly after awhile given the cost. Ended up reinstalling the regular MB hood ornament.

I think there's a thread somewhere that shows a "before and after" and the fading was pretty dramatic. They do look nice when new, though - maybe spraying it with clearcoat prior to install would alleviate the problem, IDK.

fwiw, I've had other enameled badges on cars (including valuable vintage ones) and you need to wax and/or treat them with UV protector polymer. Enamel will fade over time no matter what. But preventive maintenance retards it dramatically. With Porsche, Lotus, etc.. the factory badge fades over time, too.

yeah here...sorry meant to say mine is black and silver/chrome.
Its not bad...also was much cheaper if I recall then the colored one. Some may like it, some might not, but with my chrome/silver and black theme of my ride it goes well.
Sorry about it being at an angle but with a flash it gets really glairy. Plus you would see my reflection in the middle of it.

NP. Yeah I like it. And for my setup it looks great! None of the others quite work for my coloring scheme. Mario's is really nice, but just doesnt go well for me since I dont have any colors like it on my ride. Plus I have heard the same thing as you that it tends to fade.
And a lot of the others just dont seem to be any decent quality. So for me it works

It does "fade" a bit, but what really happens is the colors become brighter. You see, if you look closely, the piston and the orange tree each have a slightly different background color. Over time, the water becomes bluer, the oranges become brighter, and the backgrounds become more vibrant. Personally, I like the changes in color...gets a little more attention and still looks great! (Ive had mine for over 2 years)
