W212 Grill
Just wondering why the the E class sedan didn't get the grill facelift the coupe did? I think thats the only thing the C class sedan has that looks better.
Perhaps its to convey the more luxurious feel similar to the s class grill? but if so why offer a sport version without the sportier grill.
This would be a great accessory kit for people to start selling. (dunno if the coupe one would fit or how hard it would be to make one that looks like the coupe grill that would fit our sedans. Just a thought.

Actually it has nothing to do with a face-lift. M-B's Luxury Sedan's always get the Luxury grille, and to be honest, I've personally never seen a Sport grille to look good at all on a car intended with a Luxury grille.
The C-Class was a smart move to put a Sport grille on, as it's not really a Luxury Sedan, and is marketed to a younger crowd, who typically like the more "in your face" look.
IMO I'd stick with the OEM, but am curious to see how the W212 looks with a Sport grille, so post pics if you get it.

hmmm, $450 is just at the threshold that makes it harder to pull the trigger on a whim. I'll think about it and check for other options.
johnphua thanks for looking out!

grille on E coupe vs. sedan
i got my 550 & before i did i asked about the grille switch - was told by dealer that can't be done since sizing is different....but then again i just asked if one could be taken off a coupe & installed on mine ......can the sizing be modified ? i don't know .....

big evil's black grille
wow ! the grille in black looks very nice indeed ..... i wouldnt have imagined it looking so neat & i see you have removed the silver star as well .....my additions are on the back end .......roof & rear spoilers .....my car is iridium silver so initially when the roof spoiler was put on i felt pretty "so-so" about it ......now i am getting used to it & actually am starting to like the break/contrast between the roofline & rear window....of course that would be a non-issue on your black car = very nice grille !

I think you should debadge it, otherwise it's perfect! Have you considered removing the lower side chrome? I'm not sure what it will look like, but I'd think it would look good, especially since the AMG doesn't have it.
