Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta
Has anyone run Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas on their C63 in 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 sizes? I ordered some 19"x8.5" and 19"x10" wheels and am thinking about these tires, but have read on some forums that the tires run wide and want to avoid rubbing.
TIA,
Mike

Big and Heavy 03 CL
I don't know if this will help you or not but I am running on 285/30/20 on my CL and I have found that the footprint of the Vreds is actually a little bit smaller than other tires in that same size. The sidewall actually angles in a little bit to afford a larger tire in the wheel well. My Vreds rub LESS than the Pirelli tires I had on before. The tires are amazing.

Haven't tried them with these sizes on the C63 but have used them before and they tend to run a size smaller. Please update the forum when you get them mounted. I have a set of wheels coming in the same size and were considering them!

That will be a bad a** setup! The V3s are the bomb on this car and with wider wheels and sticky tires should make for a wonderful drive!!! I'm going to give the Vreds a shot and see how they do. As fast as I go through tires, if they don't perform I won't need to live with them for long!! If they do perform, then I've found a good tire at a great price point!

06' BMW M3
..OP,I put a set of these(F225/R255/19's) on my M3 less then a month ago. I realize my ///M is approx.500lbs lighter then your 63,but I like the way they feel so far(street).I haven't had her on the track yet,but hope to this month,so I can't speak on that.Btw the week I had them installed SoCal was hit with all those rain storms and I was pleasantly surprised by how well they "stuck" in all that wet weather.

Black w/ GunMetal F14's also. Still debating on the tires. I've used Vredesteins in the past. Fantastic in the rain... so much so that if you live in a rainy area, it's probably your best bet. However being that Vegas doesn't get much rain... I'm really trying to find something that sticks and lasts for dry performance. I'm also out at the track a fair bit, so something that doesn't burn up in a day would be great!

Mine are not ordered yet and I am getting my car mid march so I guess I'll put them on preorder with my guy ASAP if they are hard to find.
Also my wheels are at work so I'll try to weigh them for you. They feel very light, especially the front ones.

Why is my offset so different than yours?
This is the offset Forgestar suggested considering my car and suspension.

If those offsets are correct, they won't work on a C63.

Total front wheel width ( 9.5" or 241mm - actually 8.5" in wheel width standards)
If I measure the distance from the front of the wheel (excluding the 0.5" side), the base of the hub is 63.5 mm from the outside. Taking into account the center point of the wheel (0mm offset) would be a distance of 108mm from each side, the current offset is actually 44.5mm (probably 45mm since my measuring tape is not that accurate), which is the stock offset (and correct).
So the ET 26 they show on the box is not accurate at all. I'll see with them what's that number.

Here is the reply from Forgestar that will clear things up about the offset written on the box for the front wheels:
"Do not pay any attention to the offset on the box that is for us when
they send the wheels and it starts at a +26 offset. We cut off material so
it comes out to a +45 offset."
Also I have nothing but good things to say about their customer service so far. Can't wait to install them!

I just measured the offset on the front wheel and here is my math:
Total front wheel width ( 9.5" or 241mm - actually 8.5" in wheel width standards)
If I measure the distance from the front of the wheel (excluding the 0.5" side), the base of the hub is 63.5 mm from the outside. Note, offset and width ultimately determine how the wheel fits. An 8" ET45 wheel will fit differently than 8.5" ET45 wheel.
The 8.5" ET45 wheel will be 6mm more aggressive (I.e. it will stick out further) than the 8" ET45. That's going to look great in the front wheel well!
Can't wait to see pics. If you can, throw them on a scale. I'd love to know the actual weights of the wheels.
