Private Dragstrip Rental :: NorCal, Oregon and Washington Owners :: Oct 1st @ 10:00am
I have set up a private rental the first week of October. The deposit is paid and we are good to go for some fall racing at one of the fastest dragstrips in the PNW!
Track: www.woodburndragstrip.com
Cost: $1650 split across a maximum of 15 cars. If we have 15 cars committed (and they all show up) it's only $110/person!
Includes: Both lanes (Heads-up Racing!) fully prepped with VHT, Timing/Timeslips, EMT and as many runs as you can make with ample opportunity for cool-down, tweaking, etc. (All NHRA rules apply.)
Time: 10am-4pm
Date: Friday, October 1st
Guests: Guests are welcome if they attend with a participant.
Participants: Here is the list of interested participants so far (I’ll update inline as folks confirm and the list grows):
If you are interested, please post here or email me so I can add you to the list. Make sure I have your email address as I’ll be communicating over email with the group once we get close to the day.
Note: Oregon also has Tax-free shopping and there are some great Outlet Shops in Woodburn! Bring the Significant Other! My GF will be in the stands/pits taking HD video and a ton of photos.

can you ask them to look the other way with regards to a roll cage being required if we go faster than 11.49?
maybe they will make some exceptions since its a private rental.
i definitely want to go to this!
im sure sneakyneon and shangoashe would be down as well.

Sounds awesome, and should be a great day! It will be great to see everyone again.
I have a feeling we will reach the 15 car limit easily. Is there a particular reason why it has to be limited to 15 cars and say not 20 or 25? Even with that number I think we would get all the runs we need, right? Just curious, just hoping for a great turnout with a bunch of cool cars.
Thanks for setting this up Superlubricity. Oct 1st should work out great.

Spoke to Gene @ Woodburn about this last time. 11.49 ETs and quicker and you'll need a roll bar. Throw some street tires on and go for a new MPH record.
My pleasure. It's going to be a blast!

well maybe its still worth it to practice launches if theres nowhere else for me to go. i can always let off before the 1/4 mile mark.
maybe later when ive had enough launches i can try and bust out some fast times. :P
ill keep an eye on the thread and then post up if i can make it.
ill also try giving mission raceway in bc a call and ask them about private rentals. have u contacted them?

i think hes trying to arrange for the whole track to do some laps.
i just spoke with mission raceway and its 2k(canadian) for ten cars. thats also for one lane only. 2500 for 2 lanes.

Bring both your drag setup and street tires, drag tires for practicing your launches and street tires for testing your MPH. At the end you might want to go for your 10 second run and if I may suggest have the track crew post the 60' times on the board. This way if you get a good launch stay in it and go for your pb, if not let off and try again.
OR....you could meet me at Sacramento and go for the gusto all day. I guess this is the upside of having a small track that might be willing to look the other way. Bring that Sneaky guy with ya and we'll have a blast!!!!

Not sure about that. I figure that by Oct 1 I will be right about the point where my original set of tires will need replacing. I figure what better way to ensure I need a new than to do some drag racing.
I doubt regularly hitting the drag strip is in my future, so no desire to invest in more tires.
October is a bit early to change over to winter tires, so i do have predicament there.

Oh, it's on!
I'm just getting back into town after some vacation time. I'll post all the details this week.
Keep spreading the the word. The more cars that show the better! If you post on other forums, please let others know.
