Thnak you very much for sharing the pictures guys, that was awesome. There is one thing learned, you need better tires to get quicker/faster. The more power you have with stock tires the more it hurts your times..

I would love to see a follow up on some of these people with some upgraded drag radials or stickier street tires.Good job regardless

Quicker but not always faster. You'll notice many runs where 60's were poorer and MPH ended up better. There is a direct correlation. It's rare that your best ET and MPH come on the same run. It does happen, but it usually take the stars aligning.

Worth noting: When you lower the pressure on drag radials you actually hurt your top-end MPH a bit. DRs really help you get out of the hole when you get a full contact patch down, unfortunately all that extra rolling resistance slows you down once you get going.

nrgy, I completely missed your 12.547 run. I updated the previous page. That's what I get for doing this on a BlackBerry in the Woodburn Oulet Shops parking lot.

Your best ET run:
Nrgy - MHP Tune, MHP Catted Headers, Carbonio Airbox, Street Tires
2.238 60', 12.547 @ 117.58 MPH (1/8th 8.323 @ 92.26 MPH)

Full update coming soon . . .

That must have been a blast to be out there with so many C63's ! With low 50 degree temps, lower humidity and no head wind there will certainly be some 120+ traps in your future. Drag radials lowered my ET's to low 12's when the car was stock so you can imagine how important they are to tuned cars.

The P31 results are very impressive and I am now more convinced that the 481hp is purposefully understated.

The tuned with header cars still amaze me that such a gain in power is so easily accessible.

Yeah, by noon we were already starting to feel the heat. It started out cool in the morning, but by the afternoon the sun was pretty intense. But I'll take a little heat over rain!

It was interesting to see how close the MHP header cars ran in terms of 1/4 mph trap, although superlubricity was the most consistent out of us. However, both avenger and super seemed to edge me out on avg by 2 mph in the 1/8 mph trap. So it would seem that they are both making a bit more power than me, as shown when we dynoed together. However, towards the end of the run where I seem to close the gap, maybe that is the result of the Carbonio airbox/filters breathing better as speed increases?

Oh, should also mention super would probably have seen higher traps that day if he were running street tires, so I guess that explains some of it

Two thoughts on that...

1. Is the 2 MPH and corresponding horsepower increase by their cars simply the difference between catted and catless?

2. Are the multispoke OEM 19"s (beautiful, BTW) wheel/tire combo heavier than the OEM 18s?

This is generally true. How ever i ran my best my mph on my best 60ft. With my car i noticed the better 60ft always resulted in better mph (maybe because my 60s were always **** hehe)
Also, you guys trap awesome 1/2 track mph (94+) i cant get my head around why you guys can and we in aus dont (me personally and time slips ive seen) for reference on my 12.0 @ 121mph pass my half track was 92mph.
Did you guys try in manual mode? I seem to lose a tenth and 2-3mph in manual.
How were you guys launching? Any tips?
Looks like you guys had an awesome day. Lots of info being shared, thank you.

Thanks for inviting us down! Good group of guys you showed up with. =) Shame more of my kin didn't show up, and I was not prepped to race. If this happens next year, I will definitely run.

Here are a couple of quick snaps from yesterday. Wish I would have arrived earlier to catch more!

Totally. Nice to have a tuned car right from the factory.

No videos, but here is the data from the two nearly identical back-to-back heads-up races between B.E.R.U.A.N.G (Eurocharged Tune) and cek (Stock P31 Tune).

RACE 1
2.392 60', 13.004 @ 114.83 MPH (1/8th 8.688 @ 90.42 MPH) <- B.E.R.U.A.N.G
2.413 60', 13.010 @ 114.56 MPH (1/8th 8.688 @ 90.48 MPH) <- cek

RACE 2
2.512 60', 13.330 @ 114.14 MPH (1/8th 8.981 @ 89.41 MPH) <- B.E.R.U.A.N.G
2.510 60', 13.387 @ 114.14 MPH (1/8th 9.039 @ 89.33 MPH) <- cek

This was before B.E.R.U.A.N.G discovered traction.

This is a great thread.

I'm glad you guys all had such a great time. Very interesting lessons from your guys' most recent experience.

The P31 and Eurocharged cars times are nearly identical. That's crazy. Obviously, the Eurocharged tune is an excellent alternative to the P31 car.

Btw, were the majority of the C63's fitted with stock or aftermarket LSD's?
