ML55 & C32 Calipers

I'm sure this has been asked in the past but does anyone know if the Ml55 calipers are the same as the C32? I think they are both 345mm

Exactly, both uses 345mm Rotors with same pads, ML55 uses M14x35, the C32/C55 uses M12x45, if you want to use the ML55 calipers in the C32/55,

you just need to put 2mm sleeve to the caliper screw holes........

see I was thinking the ml55 calipers would work on the c43 since the c32 ones do and I though that the c32 and ml55 were the same.

the length of the 2 different bolts tells me the caliper offset is different by 10mm. this could be an issue when mocking up the caliper on the rotor to the c class mount holes

Good point,,, but we can’t surely confirm that,, its also depend to the screw hole thick in the caliper it self,, it

should to put the caliper in the in the knuckle to see how many mm needs to clear & balanced the Rotor with the

caliper,{easy job}........

when i tried to mount the sl55 rear calipers they looked identical to the s600 rear calipers but upon closer inspection the mount ears were 1/2" wider and 3/8" shorter than the s600. s600 was a bolt on with sleeves in the mount holes but the sl55 required custom brackets to make them fit. im guessing this would be a similar issue. look at the s600 front calipers. 4 pot and will prolly be a better fit

In generally the "S/CL" uses the same brake setup & "E/SL" uses the same brake setup & "C/CLK/SLK" uses the same brake setup & "ML/GL/R" also uses the
same brake setup,, if you want to put "E/SL" calipers into "S", you definately needs to fab. F/R brackets to fit correctly,, (as examples): i done

some setup in "4" models:

1) W124 E500 1993 with 8/8-pot Calipers & Rotors from "R230 SL55 2003-2006 & W220 S55 2003-2006"

2) W210 E60 1997 with 6/6-pot Calipers & Rotors from "W204 C63 2007 & R171 SLK55 2005-2009"

3) W202 C43 1998 with 8/4-pot Calipers & Rotors from "R230 SL55 2003-2006 & W204 C63 2007"

4) R129 SL500 1999 with 6/4-pot Calipers & Rotors from "R171 SLK55 2005-2009"

It needs more mods. if you want to go with 8/4-pot,, and also its heavy,, in my opinion; the best & easy setup with

bolt on(without any mods.)from SLK55 AMG 2005-2009 6/4-pot........

I agree 8 pots is a bit overboard. For example, the biggest upgrade made by Brembo and sold for the c43 is 6/4

Yes it should work,, but it may need some washers to correct the caliper with rotor balance, soo easy job.......

Ok heres the deal. The ML55 calipers bolt right up, but the caliper towers are to short so you have to use a 12.5" to 12.8" rotor. However it would be a great upgrade for a C230 or C280. The C32 and C55 have the longer tower point which make the 13.6" rotor fit. So Im going to take some pics and try to sell them. So now we all know, well somebody had to try this right.
