The first thing you must do is separate the 13 pin connector on the right side of the transmission. If it has fluid in between the two halves then you must replace the connector. After replacement, the "P" codes in the ECM must be erased and then the 3 digit codes in the Transmission Control Module must be erased.

If there is no fluid present, then you must replace the Electric Control Unit/conductor plate which comes with solenoids Y3/6n2 and Y3/6n3.

In any event, after every repair the "P" codes must be erased from the ECM and the 3 digit codes erased from the Transmission control Unit. If they are not your problem will continue even though you have made the proper repair.

Buy the part at a M/B dealership. Do not use and aftermarket part.

As for clearing the codes, find an independent mechanic with a professional grade scanner that has the Euro package installed, e.g Snap-On, and then he can clear the codes for you.

Remember that they must be cleared both in the ECU and ETC (trans. Module).

Were the codes cleared in both the ECM and Trans. Computer?

In any event, after every repair the "P" codes must be erased from the ECM and the 3 digit codes erased from the Transmission control Unit. If they are not your problem will continue even though you have made the proper repair.

Code P2098 has to do with a short in the SRS control module. I am not at all familiar with this code.

If I were you I would have the code cleared and if it returns you will have to see a M/B dealer.

Valve body for ML 320 1999 W163154

I am owner for a ML 320 W163 of 1999 and have problems with my Gearbox, Valvebody ar scratched and some part blocked, morever the conductor plate don't work I believe and the errors was DTC 147.
So I decide to change the valvebody. I am unsure if it the same for 722.6 and 722.662 Gearbox that my car have. Where is the difference between 722.6 and 722.662 ? Sould a valve body 722.6 should fit with my GearBox 722.662
Thank you for your assistance.
