Hello all,

After an on/off relationship with MB, I just placed an order for a 2025 AMG GT 55 Coupe; All black. Link https://www.mbusa.com/en/share/build/A48VEQ
I recently had an S580 which I sold; and earlier in my car history had an SL500 which I really liked. Love the design on the new Coupe.

Went back and forth with silver / selenite, but decided to go all black in the end (sales guy must go crazy with my many changes).
Any other MUST HAVE options ?

+1 axle lift

Ventilated Seats

Massage Seats - they’re quite good but I don’t know if they can come with perf seats

Energizing Air - for the $150 the ionizer is worth it.

For what you’re spending on a 55 try an M8 and for the same $ you’ll get much more car although it’s not as purdy to some…

Thanks. I prefer the cleaner lines on the AMG.

Are the fold down rear seats no longer an option for the 2025 GT55? Or are they standard like in the GT43?

I’m looking at an M8 or the 55.

Imho the M8 is an overall better performer/value but it lacks in things like massaging seats, pano roof option and the more expensive real metal trim bits found in the GT. The GT is also subjectively nicer looking but MB’s quality has been a huge issue where BMW has remained better. There’s great deals on leftover GT’s and it’d be the only way I would justify buying one as they are grossly overpriced for what you get. A BMW M850 will thrash a 55 for ~$40k less, as will an M8 do the same to a 63. I also felt the M8 gives a more compliant ride than the AMG and the M850’s esp with the hp tire/cooling pkg ride is sublime…

My 2025 GT 55 Coupe is scheduled to arrive on December 16th at the port in Baltimore, Maryland. The sales person says that when it has arrived, they will work out a price for the vehicle. So far, I have not given the dealership a single penny. Did you get a discount? What are you paying for yours?

I would not expect much of s discount on a 2025 GT55 especially one that has yet to arrive. But I would think it is fairly easy to get at least a $10K discount on one of the 2024 models that has been sitting on the showroom floor for the last 5 to 8 months. Getting your dealer to bring in 2024 car that matches your preferred options probably won't be that easy. It's one thing to sell a car that has been sitting around at a steep discount, it's another to trade one with another dealer just to bring it in and sell it at a bargain price. I am hoping that MB offers a substantial incentive to dealers to clear the 2024 inventory out.

Expect a a big discount as I believe the trunk money also applies to 25 GTs and dealer can contribute….lets also not forget these are not selling well.

Do we know that dealers are getting 'trunk' money? And if so, how much? Thx

What do you think a 'fair' discount off MSRP for a 2024 GT 55?

Seems to be a lot of used GT 55s on the market with very low miles. I’m wondering why soo many are for sale as the car just came out recently.

One also has to wonder why the GT55 with 6400 miles currently listed for $119,787 in Georgia has had tire(s) replaced and oil changed twice.
