These are not overlays.

My guess, since the photos look to be from the service bay, is that it is a complex job and not a DIY. However, I'm interested to find out.

Yes, I had the dealership install them. I probably could have installed them myself but just wasn't sure what to expect. There is a special "Hold Back Tool" that comes with the handles that keeps the handles in the extended position with the battery connected. My technician just disconnected the battery which made it way easier to install because while still connected the handles are always wanting to retract. Note: I also swapped out the gloss black fake side vents with carbon pieces as well all of the badging replaced with Gloss Black, replacing the the standard "Black Chrome" that we get from the factory. I'll attach some photos of the gloss black badging.

My dealership usually don't like to install aftermarket parts even if I pay them, glad yours is willing to.

Do these come in the form without the German flag, nothing against it (obviously, otherwise we won't be buying German) just want something a little more simple.

Lol. Yes you can get it without the flag. The flag was a last second add when I ordered them. It looked a lot better than I thought. Quality is phenomenal!

Yes they "just" wrapped them. They are wrapped with actual carbon fiber material. Not carbon fiber wrap imitation.
