AMG GT: GT, GTS, GTC, GTR, GT-4 door (C192 / R192)2024 - present: The GT/GT S is the second generation GT sports car developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG.
I am very happy with the new car the dealer delivered to my home last week. He delivered the new 2026 AMG GT 63 S E Performance and at the same time picked up my 2025 AMG GT63 which I traded in. My new car has a few exterior changes which I like, the performance is improved, and the ride is much smoother which surprised me. With the Aerodynamic Package the front flicks are added and the rear diffuser is added. The torque on the car is scary fast, which I love. Overall I am very happy with my new car.
Solid sir... hows it drive in the non aggressive modes? Ive tested it once and found it a bit odd in response with the electric side but in Sport Plus and Race; I smiled a lot.
The car is quick, even in all electric mode. In Comfort it is primarily engine with motor backup. Either way the car accelerates more quickly than my 2025 GT63 and a tuned Nissan GTR which I recently sold. The electric motor spools up quickly. I love the Aerodynamic Package. I am overall happy with the car.
Actually the car does not require a charge. The car is not meant to be driven solely electric although it can be driven for approximately 8 miles all electric if one chooses.. The electrification is intended to enhance performance, hence the 0-60 in 2.8 seconds time. In Sport Mode the engine over rides the electric. The default is Comfort Mode which uses the engine and electric, hence the hybrid system. I charge the car with 110 volts outlet in my garage and it takes two to three hours to fully charge.

Thank you for the feedback. Enjoy it in good health.

I'm putting one on order in the next day or two. I've got a question or two for you if you're open to that.
Well sadly I decided to trade my 2026 AMG GT63 SE Performance. After only driving the car for about three weeks I began having multiple check-engine lights. The issues were electronics related to a cable that shorted. My car was at the dealership for 49 days. As it turns out, the factory left off the install of two nuts that attach to the battery hold-down bracket. The battery, in its unstable condition, rubbed a cable creating a short. The short also cooked the alternator. In summary, the software was upgraded, two cables were replaced, and the alternator was replaced. Needless to say that I soured on the car which I traded for a new 2026 AMG GT63 after Mercedes corporate offered a generous settlement for my inconvenience.
I am now awaiting the build on my new AMG PRO. I was able to modify the build sheet to my liking. The car is scheduled to be completed in March however a forecasted ship date from Germany is yet to be determined. I have the option of buying the pro and will most likely go ahead with it.

Congrats! I have 2026 PRO coming in hopefully the last week of January. Got to the port of Brunswick GA on the 16th of January.
What a great pic! I just got the same color combo in a ‘26 GT 63 with Obsidian black and gold wheels. Did you add that gold accent in the front near the grill and lower front lip? Thanks in advance.

Yes I added the gold trim. It coordinates nicely with the gold wheels. I've got a 2026 GT PRO on order. It also is black and will have gold wheels. I plan to add a little gold trim when I have possession.
You must be the only one that will have had 3 GT63 coupe models within 6 months or so. Sorry to hear about the hassle on the ePerformance but at least we'll get to hear a nice comparison review between the 3 when you have your new whip

My first purchase was a 2025 AMG GT63 in blue color. Shortly after my purchase I had a check engine light. The car was in the shop for a couple of weeks. The problem was a faulty cable harness which required replacement. I was not happy, told the dealer I wanted to return it. They agreed and I traded it in for a 2026 AMG GT63. Only had it less than 1,000 miles and a lady rolled into the rear of my car while I was stopped at an intersection. It cracked my rear carbon fiber bumper and a few other pieces on the rear. The ladies insurance covered the repair of my car, and I hired a legal professional to sue her insurance company for the diminished value of my car since it would now show on Carfax as having been involved in an accident. I got a nice $ payment. I then traded it back to the dealer for the SE Performance. I mentioned the issues with that car. The dealer gave me a large settlement for my inconvenience since that car was in the shop for 49 days. They gave ma a deal on the car that I now own but basically I'm just driving it waiting for the Pro which is in production. They are going to give me a deal on the Pro as part of my agreement with them. I don't normally go thru as many cars in such a short time but it has simply worked out that way lately. I am seriously looking forward to the Pro. It is black with gold wheels, yellow thread and yellow seat belts, carbon fiber package.
GT63S ePerformance 4dr, '25 Bentayga Black Ed.(wife), Wrangler and 250 MLB(kids)
Decided I was done with my Taycan Turbo GT (non Weissach), great car and fabulous performance/handling but getting in and out in daily driving was a pain, kept hitting my head against the roof all the time.
Car is like a 911 but with smaller driver door it is more difficult to enter.
Wanted the new GT 2 door but ended with GT63S ePerformance 4dr, simply could not fit in that car, regardless how much I played with the seat, the sales manager could not fit himself either (I'm 6'5", 22lbs) I am not fat so I was shocked Mercedes would design this car like that.
Btw, I had no issues whatsoever fitting in my GT63 Black Series.
