My New GTC Roadster

I ordered her back in August and it has been well worth the wait. When I ordered it there weren't many pictures of these cars out there and so I hoped my options would all go together well and I am very pleased with the result. I hadn't even left the dealership when someone rolled up and asked to trade cars (oddly enough he also offered to thrown in 500 acres worth of onions).

I put 540 miles on in Fri-Sun and dropped it off Monday morning for a full body STEK wrap. I've got another 1-2 weeks to wait before I get it back and can finish up that break-in period.

I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was on back roads of various quality, it doesn't have the ride of a luxury sedan but with the suspension in comfort it still makes an excellent daily driver. I used to have a 2007 SLK and the ride comfort is about the same. The the lack of ground clearance issues was another nice surprise: there are a few places in my daily commute that used to scrape the bottom of my Ghibli and haven't been an issue at all for this car despite it looking like it barely clears flat ground. I'm going to guess it is a combination of stiffer suspension and shorter overhang.

Only little niggle I have is that I messed up when ordering it and didn't get the matte CF interior option. I'm going to see if I can find a body/tuner shop that can order a replacement piece and install it. I'm sure it will be more expensive than if I ordered it with it, but I think it will make a nice upgrade.

I took these images after 40 miles or so in the rain and so there is a bit of dirt on the sills. Given that I am in Seattle it is unlikely I'll be able to take sunny day photos until June, so these will do for now.

Nice ride indeed.

as an aside, is it difficult to replace the carbon fiber interior pieces. I too made an error and didn’t get the Carbon fiber Crossbar. I thought the bar would match the silver chrome of the seat and center console. Wrong! It’s a dull color. I’d like to get the crossbar replaced.

Very nice. You'll have to bring it to Exotics@Redmond Town Center sometime this summer. Lots of nice rides show on sunny Saturday mornings.

You're brave to get a light interior on a vert. I like the red roof.

Interior CF matte trim and crossbar are a must. In contrast to exterior trim, you look at it everytime you're driving the car.

$1600 doesn't seem that ridiculous now does it ?

The crossbar really ties the interior together.

it wasn’t the money. Thought the Gloss Carbon Fiber Crossbar would be too dark in an all black interior.

When i tried to change it, my build was locked out

Beautiful car! The Porcelain white will be fine. Have had the same interior in our SL's for years. Enjoy!

Great Car enjoy. With top down that Car is going to roar.

The top top looks a little orange and not as red as calipers and taillights. IMO it should have been more of a burgandy. Just my 2.
