OK to Jack from this center point?
I know there are jacking pads at the front and rear of the rocker panels on the GT, but is it OK to jack the vehicle from the center slots pictured which are located directly below the outside mirrors?
I fabricated a device for my floor jack (see the link below) which I have used on my other MBs and it fits perfectly into this slot on the GT and I'd like to be able to use it to jack front and rear simultaneously.

Thanks for your comments.

Yes, thank you. My bad. Because my GT has the TireFit option, it does not have an emergency jack. Perhaps it should, but as a previously-owned CPO vehicle it did not come with one and I did not think this would be covered in the manual. Thanks for calling my attention to this info.

Jack found on eBay
OK -- I found a jack on eBay for $30 that seems to work well at the center jacking point. It is MB part # A-211-583-02-15, "Type 211", manufactured in 2005 rated at 1100 kg (2425 lb.)

I regularly travel I-15 in Utah where there are signs posted "No Services Next 113 miles" and on Nevada's Extraterrestrial Highway (see photo) where one does not want to wait for delivery of a replacement tire if the TireFit does not work. I have a wheel and tire that will work as a spare on the front of my GT S and I want the option of jacking up the car and installing it if needed. I'll have to rely on the TireFit for the rear tires, at least for now.

Spare Size
For a spare, I currently have a 225/40x19 on a wheel that matched the wheels on my CLS63. I don't know yet if this wheel will clear everything at the rear of the GT. My original post showing this wheel, etc. is at
https://mbworld.org/forums/w218/5536...real-tire.html
This 225/40 tire is very close to the size of the front tire but smaller than the rear tires. It looks like a 225/45x19 tire will be the exact same circumference as the rear 295/30x20. I'll try the wheel that I have on the rear of the GT and if it is OK, order one inexpensive spare tire of that 225/45x19 size for a spare. It should be OK on the front (1" difference in circumference, 0.74 mph difference at 60 mph) but rear tires need to be the same size to avoid damage to the differential. I'll see if the ABS/ESP objects to that small difference in the front. Hope not.

the only AMG spare I know is the 175/50/19 on amg wheel. It is 19 for the big brakes and the tire is as close to normal tire hight as possible
It was in all amg e, sl, cls, s and probibly all the sls, gt
the jack, is like the one above and many will work, I dont remember my # but maybe 212 jack
they all have the same white square pad
I dont know which spare you have but you should try it on the car and make sure it works right

Yes. I had that as the spare on my CLS63-S and I had to use it in the rain on I-15 in Utah where the posted speed limit is 80 mph for several hundred miles.
I had to install and inflate the tire and endure traveling for over an hour and a half at 50-55 mph on that spare while being passed by an endless stream of tractor trailer trucks doing 80 mph. I vowed to find a solution with a full-size spare. Fortunately, the trunk wheel well on the CLS was large enough to accommodate a fully-inflated but narrower-than-stock tire as shown in the link in my previous post. Of course, the GT does not have a wheel well, but in certain situations, one could carry a spare and jack in the rear hatch compartment. I will check tomorrow if the wheel I have will fit the GT S as it did the CLS63-S with similar brakes and rotors.

The wheel that I have as a spare from my CLS63 described in the post at
https://mbworld.org/forums/w218/5536...real-tire.html
will fit on both the front and rear of the GT S, so I'll decide whether to keep the 225/40x19 spare (which matches the circumference of the front stock 19) or replace it with a larger 245/40x19 which is closer to the 295/30x20 rears (and perfect for a 285/30x20 which I may ultimate install in an all-season tire due to travels to the Colorado mountains.)

NOTE: A mounted stock front wheel/tire will fit in the rear hatch, but the 295/30x20 wheel/tire will not. The rear wheel/tire will fit into the front passenger seat.
