Pano roof : yeah or nay
i still have time to add the pano roof. Are the rear windows tinted dark / black to match the roof? Is the tinting standard regardless of pano roof?
does anyone regret getting it?
does anyone regret not getting it?
i don't expect to track the car. I think it might look sportier with yellow paint, night package and roof.

My wife has a pano roof on her land rover discovery. Two issues:
1. Something recently hit it and it cracked. It was a nightmare to deal with insurance to get replaced. Finally ended up getting cleared with a second adjuster just make sure your insurance policy covers them. It has made me never want a Pano again. Replacement is quite expensive totaling 5K.
2. It does let it more heat as it is essentially a glass ceiling. Its very nice to look at it but I could do with out it. Our cars are already so sexy IMO.

Not essential but I would always spec it. Interior (as mvb3 says) feels more roomy. Nice to have in sunny weather and there's a manual pull blind for the winter. Personally I like having the black roof especially with my blue/black look. It does add weight but if you aren't tracking the car then it doesn't really make enough difference to matter.

I'm not tracking the car either. I am getting solarbeam yellow with night package and black wheels . I guess the glass would give me more black exterior .

Ok you guys have convinced me to add the Pano roof with the solarbeam paint.
will this look better with Night package or CRbon fiber packAge?

In my opinion your car would look better with the Carbon fibre package generally and I went for this on my C63 coupe. However.. from a distance you will struggle to see any real difference between the two so it is quite an expensive aesthetic option. I would personally probably go for it on a new build but not if it meant sacrificing something else. It isn't one of those things you would really miss or greatly regret not optioning. My current GTS doesn't have it and I don't care much.

It is laquered so the laquer can chip and I've seen comments from people suggesting you can sometimes get "star"type chipping when something significant hits it. The diffuser area would be my only concern really. My partner has carbon fibre elements on her F-type and there is no sign of any problem although there aren't any large areas.

Yes good point. I have Xpel (front) & Suntek (bonnet/hood) on my GTS which makes chips a lot less of a problem.

If everyone loves the Pano roof in the GTS , what are people going to do with The GTR?
there is no pano option. The only interior colors available are black , black and blacker. It's gonna be dark in there for sure looking out that tiny windshield

Doesn't the GTS have snot too?
The pano roof does make it look sportier when the glass contrasts with the body color. I think it looks best with white, silver and maybe yellow. Don't care for it on the blue , red and grey cars. Sorta looks like balding old man's head.

Don't have the pano roof and don't miss it. It's hot as hell where I live and in the past I never used my sunroofs. I went to a BBQ once and forgot to close my 911's sunroof leaving it open all afternoon. Good thing it didn't rain.

My interior is silver pearl/black. It doesn't seem that it radiates much heat inside...but I have no experience with a solid roof so I really can't say. I live in Southern California and indeed the car is hot after being outside on a hot day...but whether it would be different with a non pano roof I don't know. Plus my exterior is brilliant blue so it's dark already and absorbs more heat than a lighter color.
