It looks like we've got at least half a dozen GT owners who are up for a meet up in Calabasas.

I'm willing to host the start at my house (my driveway can fit about a dozen GTs) and serve coffee, OJ and donuts until everybody is here. Or we can meet at Mercedes-Benz of Calabasas, about 4-5 miles away.

Post here if you can make it and vote on where you want to meet to start. I propose we take Mulholland Highway from Dry Canyon Cold Creek Road to Pacific Coast Highway and then assemble at the Leo Carrillo Beach State Park parking lot. It's a good 26 mile run.

If the majority wants to meet at my house, PM me and I'll give you my address and phone number.

(The early time is to avoid CHiPs and Sheriffs.)

I think I'll be able to make it. We return from NYC the day before and if I'm rested enough I'll be there! Should be lots of fun.

I'd rather meet where 12 Gts can sit in a driveway! Plus coffee OJ and doughnuts. Yum!

I did that when I had eight i8s inside the gates.

As of now we have 7 GTs and 1 E63S (I think that's what it is). AFGTR is going to bring the coffee. We'll also have OJ and donuts (thanks Quickburn7). If someone wants to bring bagels and cream cheese, that would be great.

I will send a PM out a few days before with my address. Closest intersection is Mulholland Highway and Stunt Drive.

Sorry I have to bow out of this meet. I have to go to AZ that weekend. I just picked up my 991.2 GT3 manual this Morning so I’ll bring that or the SLR at the next meet since my E63s has not been very reliable!

Ah, I just figured that the 26 mile drive is a canyon run. Not interested personally. Unnecessary abuse on my brakes and not enough straight to let her roam free. I'm gonna have to pass.

Long straights. Some chicane type curves. And the last 4 miles are most amazing with even longer sweeping curves. I rarely use my brakes. The one section with a lot of braking is from Malibou Lake to the Rock Store and then to Kanan Dume Road. You can bypass that section by cutting through Troutdale to Kanan Dume, going through the two tunnels and meeting the peleton at Mulholland Highway and Kanan Dume Road. (I often did it that way to get back in front when I had M5/M6 and i8 meetups since I am a geezer.)

But if you want, you can bring your GT, leave it behind gates at my place, and ride co-pilot with someone.

Haha, I appreciate the invite. I like to drive, fast. Riding with someone will just give me anxiety. My car has a couple of goodies under the hood and I was hoping to have some friendly runs on a nice empty freeway during early AM. I honestly don't see it happening if we're going through the canyons. We need more than 1 lane for that. I also have to confess my fear of canyons and heights. I always picture someone crossing the yellow line while I'm driving spiritually forcing me to fall off a cliff or something... Yeah I know I'm weird but safety is always my #1 priority.

I'll keep it in mind in case I have a change of heart.

Thanks bud.
