Cannot wait to get this phone now that T-Mobile picked it up.
I have Firmware version 3.94. I belive that is the current version and that all phones produced now come in that flavor.

The battery life isn't so great. I leave bluetooth on at all times and it lasts about 2 days with about 3 hours of talking. Good news is they pack two batteries and the charger can juice both at a time

I bought mine from Comp-USA, since I didn't feel like buying a new contract or customized t-mobile software.

The AWS Puck and this phone where meant for each other... just one pairing and it works flawlessly. The second you unlock the door with your remote the phone pairs... even before you turn the car on

The MB part number is B67875856 for the V60 Bluetooth Cradle Adaptor. It's $325 Retail from MB and includes a $100 instant rebate for a compatible Motorola phone from AWS. If you have a V60 system already installed in your car, the installation consists of docking the puck in the cradle like you would the V60 phone. Then pair your new Bluetooth phone and you're done.

If you've been following these forums, you'll note that you may have to shop several dealers to get the official retail price from MB.

I haven't used the puck, so I'm only guessing...but...have you turned bluetooth ON, on your razr phone? If not...that's proabbly what that means. It sounds as if your puck isn't detecting any bluetooth devices.

ok finally got the raz v3 to work. had to go into the phone menu and ask for it to search for bluetooth handfree search. now if i turn off phone and turn back on i have to manually enter search for handfree bluetooth into phone menu again. is there a way to have the phone always searching for connectivity upon entry to the car? do i have to keep the phone turned on all the time? thanks

For easiest operation you should just leave your phone on and keep Bluetooth always on. That way, each time you start your car, the hands-free system will automatically connect with your phone.

I've havn't seen a V3 yet that doesn't download the phonebook. Do you have an early version of the phone with old software or is it the new V3m Verizon phone? These are basically the only ones that I have no feedback on.

Easiest way to test is to snag a friend's V3 or other Motorola Bluetooth phone and try it with your system too.

Report Verizon V3m

Verizon V3m works good, phonebook will download fine (the first 99 numbers as usual). VCS works, pretty much every function I had with the V60 system works with the puck and V3m.

Has anyone had connectivity problems when the cabin is hot (for example if you leave you car out in the sun (here a socal) for a long time? The bluetooth connectivity works fine once I vent out the heat and run the A/C to cool down the dash and cabin. It's not just the phone system but the whole audio system is "glitchy", like screeching static over the speaker when trying to play CD, sound cutout for 2-3 seconds, etc. All function are normal as long as the heat is gone...

Thanks!

I had a w124 E-Class that had an audio system squealing problem whenever the car sat and got heat soaked in full sun with outside temperatures close to 100 degrees. Once the interior cooled down, the problem went away. In my case, a new headunit fixed the problem.

Thanks for the info, I might just bring it in to the dealer when it does happen. I do recall the fiber optic cable was replaced once and it was fine for while...

I have a SDA from T-Mobile.

The BT works, only numbers are displayed of incoming calls. No Names or No Phonebooks download. No Signal Strength.

To use call waiting you need to answer the call on the phone, not the car.

Sounds great, and works every time.

It will dial numbers stored in the Command unit.

CNET doesn't think much of the MB "solution."

CDMA (Verizon):
Motorola Q (3, 4, 5, 6)

7. No Speed Dial
can you confirm that phonebook download works with the MB Puck.

I got the Argos BT installed today and phonebook doesn't download from my Q. Europhone is telling me that Verizon has crippled this feature from their phones/pda.

Just to reieterate. Nokia 8801 works great with the puck.

I bought an unlocked 8801 from CompUSA and I use T-Mobile as my provider.

When you first pair it make sure your phone shows a Car Icon on the display. If it shows the Headset icon delete the pairing and try again.

GSM T-Mobile:
Nokia 8801 (3, 4, 6, 7)

KEY:
1. No PhoneBook Download
2. No Call List Download
3. No 3 way

The Q downloads it's phonebook with the retrofit Puck, no problem. Verizon doesn't cripple this feature with the Q.

Funny thing is that phonebook download is less reliable, at this point, with the Bluetooth Module for newer MHI cars. It has something to do with the way that the Q reports "what it is" to Bluetooth hands-free systems. Considering how hot the Q is turning out to be, I'm sure all manufacturers will race to make their devices compatible with it.

I don't think it has to do with Sprint, rather Palm needs to update the Bluetooth profile on the Treo. I've got a 700W that only uses the car as a headset. I wrote them an email complaining, but there is still hope that they will release an update sometime.

I just got a Q and just had the MHI Bluetooth Interface Module
Model Year 2005 - 2007 installed at Flecher Jones and my Q's address book does not populate. Am I doing something incorrectly?

I spoke with AWS today about Motorola Cingular RazR compatibility.

They only officially support three soft ware versions:

OE.42.OER
OE.42.09R
OE.40.57R

I have one with 57R so thats Ok but I got a second one last month with newer S/W and thats not on the list.

My understanding of this, is that MB developed the BT module with the latest S/W versions in mind a year or so ago and those are the versions you are looking at. Anything new from that point on would not be supported. So once again MB has offered a solution that is stuck on technology of the past and has no flexibility for the future.

I asked AWS if the BT module could accept updates to its software and they had no idea. Somehow I doubt it.

I will now try to search Howard Forums for flashing older SW versions on the phone if the newer one doesnt work. (BT Module is coming soon)

Are those number for the motorola bluetooth software version or the razr software version?

The Q downloads phonebook with the V60 Bluetooth Cradle Adaptor (Puck). However, no phonebook download is possible with the MHI Bluetooth Module. This is not a defect, it's just the way the two devices behave over BT. Note that the Q is not on the MB approved list yet.
