'03 S55 AMG, '01 CLK55 AMG
COMAND for 2003 and 2004 S-Class
Will the head unit from the 2004 work in the 2003 cars? Can you just swap the units?

In European cars they are two different systems.

Thanks for the info. Can you explain the differences in the units? Is there a way to get Sat Radio and IPOD integration thru the COMAND head unit in an MY2003?

Your 2003 is a D2B bus car, and you can retrofit several options for iPod; see https://mbworld.org/forums/audio-electronics/144835-ipod-options.html
