Radar Display for instrument cluster

I just finished a project involving interfacing radar detectors to the instrument cluster on all of the other models with the standard (smaller) cluster display. here is some video of the working unit on a CLK63 black series with a K40 system. I will have valentine one interface video in a few days as well...

Very impressive. I'd be very interested in how you accomplished this. Many questions as to the audio, control module interface method, etc. Thanks and good job.

So do tell how you did this. Is it plug and play? I have a V1 and would like to add this.

Very very neat! Let me know if you are still interested in my Distronic Plus interference and my Spectre defeat solutions for K40s and other RD.

Plus do you have a K40 interface for my '08 Cayenne Turbo by any chance?

the display is done using an integration module that we designed and built. the interface itself is plug&play through the vehicle canbus and literally requires a simple plug in plus the radar connections. the K40 module also requires that a few wires are attached to the K40 system to get it working.

the valentine one interface is being built right now and will be a very simple DIY interface that involves only plugging the standard v1 cable into the module and then into the can distributor. the v1 interface will also give all the v1 data: bogey, strength, band, etc... as well as steering wheel mute.

Wrong, the guy is awesome, first class products, he got banned because he isn't a sponsor, which I can see to an extent but none of these outher sponsors offer anything like he does. this guy does this because he believes the vehicle should be right. unlike some on here who just buy from a 3rd party and sell... this guy hand builds and tests the equipment

I bought an interface module from him for my vehicle and it was nothing but perfection. he works at midcityengineering.com... however he works some crazy hours... comes in at 2PM... WTF I want a job like that

That's a giant leap in the wrong direction. jbondox got it right. Rob is a tremendous help to this forum.

As for coming in at 2 PM - I have also gotten PMs and posts from him at 1 AM. I suspect that he earns his pay.
