Thanks Brabusman, but you guys have the pimp operation over there... How is everyone doing up there?

As an alternative to a $20 LOC one could certainly use a variety of sound processors. I did some research based on Brabusman's MOTUS suggestion and found some prices on an audio forum site across the pond; any dealers in the US?

AGW Ligth 4 Canali €492 iva inclusa
AGW Ligth 6 Canali €594 iva inclusa
AGW Ligth 8 Canali €648 iva inclusa
mentre la versione PLUS costa al pubblico:
AGW Plus 4 Canali €690 iva inclusa
AGW Plus 6 Canali €780 iva inclusa
AGW Plus 8 Canali €864 iva inclusa

Today's rate: 1 Euro = 1.4955 U.S. dollars

The AGW is the same as the MOTUS piece I was talking about.

Exactly my point.
This is a DIY thread; simplicity is the key.

I prefer to refer to most DIY threads at FIUY (f* it up yourself) threads. Most of these threads, though usefull, end up being abortions....

So is this officially a DIY thread or is there still room for some custom sound systems?

There's always room for custom DIY sound systems. Is there a huge speaker under there?

How are you planning to install the hx2's in your Bluetec?

Will you use boxes or a box for your HX2's?

Sorry about the delay - I was on vacation w/o e-mail or internet. Kinda relaxing, actually. Anyway - it's a smaller set up (I don't want to be deaf before I'm 25): one JL 13' flat piston & a 600 watt Alpine amp (see stock pics). Not a huge boom, but like I said I <3 my hearing & I wanted to keep the back of the vehicle open enough to toss stuff in there / not have to remove a huge box every time I had to move some big item.

No personal experience with your model of vehicle but all indications are speakers are 6.5" but please confirm from a reliable source.

So again....your install might work for you, and if it does, God bless, but it should not be refrenced as a "how-to" article.

P.S. -- NEVER, EVER use an LOC. They do nothing but mess with the signal. Use a MOTUS M.O.S.T. fiber-optic interface :-)

... would love to see some picture from a pro install

ps: the Motus thing has just been tested in my car but you must say goodbye to the Logic7 feature ... and that's not what I want !
