2007 CLK550 Bluetooth

After reading for hours I still cannot figure out this bluetooth thing. I took this picture of the connectors that are in my console. What are these connectors? What item(s) do I need to get bluetooth to work through the Command system? I know I need B6 787 5839 the bluetooth adapter. Does the bluetooth adapter connect directly to either of these two cables? I have read some things about a connector plate but have not seen any for sale.

You need a complete phone kit CLK did not have a factory option for it. You need a core kit a completer kit and bluetooth module 6-7-87-6131 the one you listed is old and outdated. You are looking about $1500 for a dealer install or $900 in parts only.

Would this product on ebay work? It says it does the same thing as 6-7-87-6131. If so would it be plug and play? Do you have a part number for the core kit?

Not by itself.

You need everything required to achieve the connector to which that attaches. It does NOT attach to the connector you've shown.

See the photo below

Whether your eBay item (same as in photo) does "same" is debatable, as 6131 is the newest and latest version that replaced that one. The seller is full of "guarantees" but not much evidence of testing.

So I realize I need the piece lying in the console in the left picture. I understand this to be the conector plate. Do the wires in my picture connect to the connector plate or do these wires do something completely different? By the way I greatly appreciate the pictures.

Contact Keith Valentine, (aka cellguy85 on ebay). He is a former Cellphone/Bluetooth Installer for MB and has genuine MB items/parts for sale at a steep discount compared to the price you pay from AWS, (Auto Wireless Services is MB's Partner/Provider for all MB compatible Cellular/Bluetooth equipment).

Keith can be reached at (714) 746-5930 - Check out his ebay store, but keep in mind that not everything will be listed there. He has 100% Postive Feedback on ebay and a great guy to deal with. I have bought multiple items from him for my (3) Cars. Keith is very knowledgable about ALL the Cellular/Bluetooth options for your MB.

yes the connector plate has the opposite of the two plugs pictured...

*BUT*

you also need some more stuff... you need the UHI module and compensator which mount in the trunk...those are the modules that connect to the other end of those cables and provide the connections to the comand and the antenna system.

I could get you the part numbers for the kit I need to know if you have a coupe or cab. I can also vouch for Keith he use to buy a lot of the parts from me in the past and is very knowledgeable. I believe he goes direct to the manufacturer now and this is why he can do the install for much less.

Parts prices when I did my w203 C-class a month ago were $160 + $110 from the dealer and $200 for the puck on eBay. I have the "older" BT puck but it synchs fine with an iPhone 4 and a BB Bold 9700.

Install took me about 3 hours using the MB install instructions which are pretty comprehensive. Do a search on the C32/C55 forum for the link to the directions.

navtv tooki-mb.... done, regardless of the phone and regardless of what was wired... as long as you are on the MOST optical ring. otherwise the dealership would need to turn it on, and now a days, they don't have that ability thanks to sdnet
