W212 Owners - SmartTV DVD is legit!
Installed the module yesterday and let me tell you, IT IS AWESOME! NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER!! I can watch DVD in drive mode now...

If you are in the SF Bay Area, I can recommend you a experienced installer.

What is the model of the part? How much was it? Is it difficult to install? If so, how much was installation?

It's called the VideoKey - DVD SCREEN UNLOCK by Cartronics. It cost me $299.99 + shipping. Installation was fairly easy, any car audio shop should be able to assist.

call mid city engineering 312.421.1114 bit more expensive then cartronics... but then again Dan hasn't took his vehicles for a drive in the garage either....
