Warning: Remote Start + Keyless GO

Don't know the specifics, but if you are having issues with your KG functions they could be due to remote starters.

There was a firmware issue with the EIS (key cylinder module) on a small subset of W212/W218 models MY 2010-current with keyless go fitted and with the remote starter installed. The issue relates to how the keyfob and the vehicle authenticate each other when starting the vehicle... If there is radio frequency interference present when this process occurs it is possible that the keyfob will not function until the next time the vehicle is started.

The problem is resolved with remote starter firmware V276. So far we have seen only a very small number of W212's that exhibit this issue (around 10 out of all the 212's with starters installed) If anyone has a vehicle that exhibits this issue you can contact your remote starter dealer for an updated starter unit.

Thanks for the info was not sure what companies product was causing it. Glad to see it's sorted it. I figured it was from cheap knock off Midcity products.
