So I bought this disk because I was originally using the 2005 navigation disk that came with my 2005 CL65. I then bought a 2011 Navigation disk and the dreaded "No DVD Available, please insert Navigation DVD" came up. So I followed the instructions for the update DVD and the progress bar comes up and then it just hangs there. No progress at all. The DVD stops spinning. I waited 5min and still nothing. I then tried to use the 2011 DVD and it says wrong version of DVD Navigation disk. I have tried this a dozen times. Can anyone shed some light on this and what am I doing wrong? The 2005 disk works but it would be nice to use the 2011 disk.

Where did you buy that from? It's not even a navigation disk it's most likely a firmware update because anything that has a W is considered a tool. Nav disks start Q-6-46*

Its a Mercedes Benz firmware update disk. Due to me jumping from 2005-2011 in Navigation disks, I need to run this update otherwise the 2011 Nav disk will not work.

Where did you purchase the NAV DVD? if it's a burned copy it could be mislabeled with the incorrect data version.

I got it off one of the members here. It is the original disk, came in the original packaging and has Navteq scribed on the the actual disk.

I could have had it looked at and tested a new Nav dvd or firmware CD if you were local. I would suggest taking it to a dealer and have them update it for you. I am pretty confident it's one of those 2 that are the issue.

Lots of threads talk about a telematics update that would give you the new style maps, such sa bird's eye view, etc. My local MB dealership seems ignorant about that. Any help?
