Got the first of the A2DP adapters in. This one was purchased from http://insidecomputer.stores.yahoo.net/adpblutipod.html

Pic attached of the device as well.

Sadly, have to report that it WON'T work on either my '07 GL450 nor my '07 E63, both of which have the factory iPod integration (which charge the iPod when docked).

I have about 3 more coming from vendors in China, one of them said it will pair with a Mercedes, so we'll see.

Bump....I'm in the same boat as you. I have a factory intergration cable for my 05' E55 for my ipod.

Just bought an iphone 4s the other day and would like to find a wireless bluetooth adaptor like mentioned in the previous posts.

I have success!!

So, taking the advise from Kevin9664 (Post #20), i bought the iPod power adapter. This is the one i got.

The bluetooth adapter i am using is from here.

Model Number from the paperwork that came with the receiver is BTML-110.

I am using an iPhone 4S from ATT.

Plugged the bluetooth puck to the adapter and plugged it to the factory iPod plug on my '07 E63 and Voila!! It works! Pandora and Rhapsody stream, like music to my ears! Well, actually it is. Music. To my ears.

Couple of points to note:
1. The display in the speedo console says 'error', but I can stream both Pandora and Rhapsody.
2. Steering controls don't work so all music control needs to be made on the phone.
3. Once paired, the device shows up as 'BTML-110'.

I've attached some pics to show the setup as well.

Now, this setup did NOT work on my '07 GL450. Got the same error message, but no music.

I have a few more bluetooth adapters coming in the mail and will try them as well to see if either the E class will drop the error message and/or it will work on the GL.

I'll keep y'all posted!

Awesome, that gives me some hope. Weird that it works in your '07 E and not your GL of the same year. I hope my '06 CLK has what it takes. I'm optimistic since it works on speed7's '06 C55. Maybe it's an AMG thing? Haha I hope not. Still waiting for my piece to arrive here in the East Coast. Why is China so damn far? Lol

Saw this video about something similar to this bluetooth audio passthrough deal and thought I would share.

I have an 08 R350 and am trying to do the same thing with my Ipad and factory Ipod Integration kit.

FYI - The poster of the YouTube video above has been pretty unresponsive, so I've taken it upon myself to roll the dice and purchased a no name brand A2DP BT receiver device from Ebay. Should get it before Friday and will report back my findings on functionality here.

I actually tried to find the name brand version of this device by Sprint called Anycom FIPO, but these are sold out everywhere.

Other than the Sprint version, it looks like the majority of these devices are no name brand devices from China. I know, the Sprint branded one is probably from there too, but just sayin.

Got mine in the mail today......and IT WORKS!

Notes:
2006 CLK500 w/ iPod Integration
Added iPod adapter to allow charging for newer iDevices.
Bluetooth A2DP Receiver (no brand name from China)
Music plays through stereo loud and clear.
Alerts and ringtones play through the stereo but actual phone calls do not.
No steering wheel functions. Volume buttons obviously works though.
iPhone 4S does not auto-connect to Bluetooth receiver. Must manually connect in Settings.

Those are my general first impressions in the first 10 minutes. I'll give more of a review as I use it this weekend.

How much and where is a link to get it? =) If the price isn't too crazy I'll pick one up and compare it to the one I have.

The iPod charging adapter that jakeg104 and I have is here.

And a listing of Bluetooth receivers on eBay is here. Price and shipping time are inversely related. The actual auction I used was this but I don't recommend them. Took them 9 days to even ship it and 17 days total to receive. So it's up to you if you want to pay more and get one that's already in the US or pay less and wait longer.

I tried this device from ebay.http://www.ebay.com/itm/290709299174...174%26_rdc%3D1

anyway, it didn't work. I am open to trying the 12v to 5v adapter, but don't like the idea that I won't have steering wheel controls and that there will be an error message on the display.

I have an 08 R350 just like the one in the youtube video and I have the exact same ipod integration kit. I know it's possible to get this to work through the steering wheel with just the bluetooth receiver, but I still can't get this guy to get back to me with the B/T receiver model he used.

May try the Sprint Anycom brand next.

Well...

This didn't work for me. I am using an iwave a2dp bt receiver and a 12v 5v adapter so the device will power up through my iPod integration cable in my r350. I am able to pair my ipad but the display on the dash just says iPod please wait.... I don't get any audio at all. I've tested the two pieces with my Bose sound dock and they work just fine. Anyone else out there have any suggestions. I have 2008 r350.

Thanks

My Bluetooth device is called iWave also and mine works. I think we have the same A2DP. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the cable. My car is a 2006. I'm surprised it's not working.

Side note, does anyone know how to get the phone to auto pair with the Bluetooth device? It's starting to get annoying having to go into Settings to connect to it every time I start my car.

Also, I recommend this app called Big Button Music Player. It's an easy way to control your music in iTunes in the car.

ok...well I did use this 12v 5v charging adapter. http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-VOLT-TO-5...item23138cef04

Instead of the one you recommended, which in its ad description does say its specifically for mercedes?!...

But I do get a working connection because the light does blink on the a2dp device and it does connect with both my iphone and ipad... so.. maybe it is the cable.

In my 2008, the cable itself is black with a white connector. Is this easy enough to change out? I assume the only place that would have this connector is the MB Dealer and would getting the newer cable mean I no longer need the charging adapter device?

I got about 3 of the iWave pucks from China through eBay, they all work on my 2007 e63, but none work on the '07 GL450. The only explanation i can come up with is that the GL came with iPod integration, I added the MB iPod integration to the E after i got the car, so maybe the E has a later version of the intergration kit, which makes it work? I'm almost tempted to get a new(er) kit for the GL to test this point, or I might go to my service guy at MB Houston North and see if he would let me try it out on a later model car ('08)? I'll keep you guys posted.

Also, the exact iWave puck is available from a guy in CA, here is the eBay link. A bit more money, but you'll get it a lot faster.

One important thing to note is that the Sound Quality with the iWave puck is VASTLY better than the SQ using the first puck that i got from here

To get it to work on my '07 GL, i had to use this power adapter in line with the ipod.

Hope this helps!

so it looks like i-wave disappeared from ebay. However this is what I found.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Bluetooth-Music-Audio-Receiver-Adapter-For-iPod-iPhone-30-Pin-Dock-Speaker-/330862711477?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item4d08f452b5
If you notice the packaging it says I-wave.. also what is funny its offered in 2 colors.
This is the one I have:

http://www.thefind.com/electronics/i...-a2dp-receiver

Mine says sprint on it but was also available in 2 colors.. white and black.

Any chance when you try to pair your device it says "FIPO" as the device name for your I-WAVE? Wondering if its the same controller inside.

Just picked up this one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tenergy-Mini-Bluetooth-Audio-Receiver-Apple-Dock-30-pin-to-bluetooth-adapter-/330837919194?pt=US_USB_Bluetooth_Adapters_Dongles&hash=item4d077a05da
Says Bluetooth v3.0 so hopping the sound quality will be a bit better. I'll post if it works when I get it. Also if it does work you can buy them on Amazon and ebay.

Both of those should work find as long as your cable provides power. If not you'll need an adapter explained above.

Please let me know though if your phone (iPhone, I hope) automatically connects to it when you turn on your car. Mine doesn't. I have to go into the Settings and manually connect to it each time I turn it on. And also if phone calls go through it. My only 2 complaints.

So an update. It works just fine. Fired right up on the first try, no adapters needed.

Here's a pic of what they sent me.

I'm still wondering on the sound quality.. it sounds the same as my other one. However if anyone is in the Boston area and has an iPod connection in their car we can do some comparison testing.
