Comand-Online/Mercedes-Benz Apps Down?
Anyone else unable to send destinations to their car via Google Maps and Download POI's/Routes Mercedes-Benz Apps? I have been unable to do so since Friday. When I attempt to send a destination, the Google maps websites displays: "Sorry, we were unable to send this message at this time. Please visit the help page." The help page is of no help.

I only just realised today that even my June 2011 delivered Australian MY12 C250 has access to Facebook and the newer interface. It's still pretty darn slow but not sure if that's my Blackberry Bold 9900 or Telco (Optus Australia) causing it.
Also note, in Australia I have Weather as a fourth option:
Note: Weather used to be 2nd option, and Facebook was 4th, but I rearranged it.
ps. Here's a video of COMAND Online: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMGqT...ature=youtu.be

here in the US, weather app is delivered via Sirius XM (satellite radio) - the app runs a lot faster than MB Comand Online Apps, due to its data throughput.

However, Google local search and POI are needed because they are integrated with Command Navi.
It could be MB removed them from Middle east since i am in Saudi Arabia and you seems in Kuwait!!
I will try to reach a useful party in MB Germany who can confirm\fix our issue.

Same problem here. Before I had Google local search and POI searching. Now, I’ve only weather and Facebook which are totally useless as you can check them through smartphone directly much easier and faster.

Thanks for the info. My car came without google local search from the beginning. Do you remember when it disappeared from your car? Did you take it to service and they updated the firmware or something which removed it? I'd appreciate if you keep me updated with whatever answer you get back from MB.
Now, I’ve changed to android Samsung S3 and can use the Internet with an android apps called BlueDUN but disappointed when i discovered the missing apps. However, yes my car was in maintenance (Service A) last month but the MB consultant denied that they updated Command OnLine.
I will update you with whatever MB reply

Good news :-)
I’ve contacted MB customer service. I’ve provided them with my VIN and mentioned the missing MB Apps. They’ve replied me back that problem has been solved.
Now, I'm enjoying the “Google Local Search” and “Download POIs/Routes” again.
You can find below their e-mail address:

I've contacted them and they simply referred me to their Middle East customer care. In keeping up with their history with me of being useless, Middle East support simply said it is not available in Kuwait.
Can you provide me with the name/contact of the support agent who assisted you? I assume your car is GCC spec and you are located in KSA

You're right my car is GCC spec and I'm in KSA
These are the e-mails that I've initially sent to:
Mercedes-Benz-Apps@Daimler.com
dialog@daimler.com
After that, the reply came from customer.care@daimler.com
Try to send to the same and you should be contacted from Germany. Let me know the good news

This is very strange. When i first got into my 2013 I had my iphone paired up and plugged into the center console. I had the apps working, browser working with no special gimmics on a 4s. Then I called to activate the mbrace2 function and now it seems like the internet is being used from some cell in my car, not my phone. So even with no phone in the car can still search the web, and its not too too slow, at least not dun slow

As of 2016, it seems like the Google apps are no longer supported.
My COMAND system Apps show "Local Search" not "Google Search", RSS is no longer supported, there is no more Google Street View, and the Send GPS Coordinates to Car from Google Maps no longer works.
What the?!
I am in Canada. We do not have MBrace. But all of the above was working a few months ago.

Has anyone been able to send POI to their car successfully?

Just select MB and put the VIN in the account ID box.
The car is paired with the phone and using this utility, BT tethering is automatically switched on when in the car:

Then just collect the POI from MB Apps.
