install of command unit on W210
Hi, I have a W210 AMG that has the Bose factory 10 stack CD unit. Is it possible to install the command system - as anyone attempted this before? Thanks

10 stack CD unit? You must not be located in the US?
It's possible to install comand in any W210. Since your model is an AMG (I ASSume an E55?) it should be a MY99 or newer, meaning it has the fiber optic cable, which makes it easier to install a comand. Do a search in the W210 forums or here on comand, and when you're ready, contact Steve MBenzNL at s_krabbenborg@hotmail.com. He's the best when it comes to comand retrofits! Thanks for your response. Yes Im outside of the U.S. im in Australia and have an E55 - W210.
The audio system fitted has a 10 disc CD system with the changer located in the boot (trunk) hence the term we use out here - 10 stack, or stacker unit.
Im able to get my hands on a command unit and im really after the factory finish - its the retrofit that seems to be the challenge out here. MB belive it can be done, by my reps say they have not attempted it before.
