No power to Telephone Module? Ideas?
So when I bought My 2008 E350 the headunit would power on to MB logo then shut off. I eventually found the offending "area" was the telephone module.
I used the bypass adapter and the system worked because the loop was complete again. I assumed the module was bad.
Today I received a used tele module from ebay and still have the same issue -- the fiber loop isn't going through the module and thus the headunit turns off after 10 seconds.
With the other modules that I tested like the CD player, the fiber optic cable lights up and the unit lights up where the fiber exits. On the telephone module, I get light from the cable, but NOT from the unit.
I'm sort of lost on what to do now. Anybody have any ideas?

This is the phone module harness from an ML350, but I noticed that there is a fuse covered by a cap. Perhaps your system has something similar, and the fuse is blown?
