I can't see why it would take a dealer more than 2-3 hours to install it once they had done it once.
I'd say anything over $900 installed is a crime.
BTW, I just called the local Lexus dealer and they want $1,295 to install the factory kit in a new LS-430.
Of course it's XM Radio and not Sirius. I'd never install Sirius in my car because it appears to be slanted to the younger set whereas XM Radio seems more suited to mature audiences.

By the way, there is a way to install it with a aftermarket T antenna in the rain sensor box.. I have not tried it yet, will keep posted. My 150 install price included the antenna.

I had XM installed $700. It's in the ashtray of my S500. BTW, you can get a very small antenna, a micro antenna from Blitzsafe. Mine is mounted on the back of the roof, painted bodycolor and barely even noticable.
The antenna is inside the car, on the parcel shelf on the driver's side. I get a rare fade out which is more than an acceptable trade off for the invisibile nature of the install. If I put the antenna in the center of the parcel shelf, the fade would probably reduce (fade comes when the signal can't be picked up through the C-pillar).
Autobahn Motors in Belmont, CA quoted me "at least $1500" for the installation. What a ripoff!
Anyone in the Bay Area get a better quote on the parts/installtion?

I didn't like Sirius plus I can switch the SkiFi unit between the 2 MBs, house and the Sea Ray.
