HEY PERSON

Please use the search feature in the forum... this has been covered A LOT.

Or, take a look at www.mbenznl.com ... that might help you if the search feature is giving you problems.

.............simple answer is no. There is no video input jack in the back or anywhere on the comand.

Ted, I have heard that there is a TV tuner option, which takes in 2 audio/video inputs according to http://www.mbenznl.com/products/comand.shtml
but i dunno if this is a hardware option, or if it is compatible iwth my COMAND system. it is all very confusing!

...............yes there is a Tv tuner option that has two A/V inputs. It is both a hardware hook up plus a software activation. The hardware hook up is complicated if you are not already very savy in mercedes electronics. However, it is the sofware activation that is the biggest problem. My advice, have it profeesionally done. Steve is very good, but he is essentially unvailable. Contact NAV-tv.com and ask for Monie.

Ted,
Do you know what Moni charges for enabling TV in motion. I just completed my install but the TV is only working when I'm not moving (which is hard in a C32).

There are 2 ways to get DVD connect to Comand:
1. Add TV Tuner - give you 2 A/V inputs fromt he tuner unit. The tuner unit is OEM MB part which all features can be control from Comand unit.
2. Add A/V adaptor - only give 1 input or you can get a spliter.

The cost is about $400-500 different. But you need to get the In-Motion unlock to view while moving, otherwise the screen will turn off when reach 5mph+.

Steve is the only way to go if you just happen to run into one of his LOCAL Comand Group buy installation gig.

Steve,

Was that the US or UK site? Still, $450 is a lot of money compared to what you are offering. I just dont want to part with AM. I learn a ton doing it on my own and had a lot of fun. I'm also working on an OBD programming solution from http://freediag.sourceforge.net/ . But that is a long shot.

3800 is a straight ripp off!

And if you really look for a TV tuner to connect to comand - you shouldn't have a problem finding something at a better price - and complete with all parts needed for installation...do a search on this forum and you might (well - you should) find something better.
