Scorchie,

DO you have the part no. of the antenna for sat radio. The one that you use to mount under the glass. Iwant to change my setup.

B6 783 0014 ... but that's the one in the kit!

If you want to try a smaller one with the same connectors, use B6 783 0015 and when you get it, remove it from the bracket.

and I assume that will work with the XM too? I did this to a Audi and had to trim the plastic notch off a bit on the connector and it worked. Do you recommend mouning it on rear glass?

XM and Sirius antennas are different... although they will work for each other because they are in similar bands, the elevation of the satellites is different.

The stock Mercedes antennas use WICLIC connectors, not the FAKRA SMB that aftermarket antennas use... so I am not sure what you are trying to do?

Use a new Terk antenna because the MB antenna won't work on your Alpine unit without an adapter. Plus, MB antenna = $270, Terk antenna = $40.

Make sure you still use the ACL with the adapter... so you will have two boxes between the antenna and the receiver!
