For comand 2 users with AUX input, here is a band-aid approach, but one that actually should work quite well. Plug this RF remote (http://www.engineeredaudio.com/products/remote2.html) into your iPod, connect to the AUX input, close up your glove compartment and simply use the remote to switch songs. Keeps the car neat as the remote uses radio frequency instead of the usual infrared. Doesn't do playlist switching, but at least you can keep your eyes on the road

This auction is for a new 1.0m PIVOT 1/8" mini-RCA.
The PIVOT is intended for use with DATs, personal audio players, and computer audio. This cable is causing smiles with its sound and its price.
iPod / iTunes users, and all the Windows based MP3 players too, you are going to dig this cable.
Quick features include silver alloy conductor in a concentric lay with virtually no cross-talk between channels, low capacitance, 100% high magnitude RF shielding and hermetically sealed termination.

Either way, the "list" price of $79 for a 2ft cable, it is slightly over the top...

About the iPod, you should add a cable running from the AUX to your iPod, but unfortunately I don't know which one... :p
As for navigation drives, yes, that is something Steve can do for you. His next planned CA trip will be during the second half of September... Give it a try and email us again at steve@mbenznl.com.
