Phone Kit from E430 into a CLK 320?
I have the opportunity to acquire this item from a friend. My 2001 CLK 320 did not come with the phone installed but my friend bought a 2002 E430 and had this kit removed to install an aftermarket kit.
Can anyone tell me if this is the same kit as is used in the CLK 320?
Part number is: #Q6820648
Thanks

I believe it is the same kit. You may want to look into www.mikbox.com also.

Not sure why people ask if it is the same... it's not the same as asking "if it will work" because with a bracket and some other work, it will function in the car. It's just not the same.

Okay - perhaps I'll be more specific...
Will this kit give me the basics (with light modification perhaps) to make a Mercedes cell phone work in my car?
Bottom line: I want the hands-free integrated feature but do not care to spend the ridiculous amount the dealer wants to install it.
Thanks in advance...

You may want to consider an UHI kit for less than half the ridiculous amount the dealer wants. This will also let you have some flexibility in the phones you use, as some of the Mercedes phones may have problems being newly activated by the big carriers.

Thanks for the input - I will acquire the kit for the E430 and proceed to attempt installation. I feel this will give me the capability I desire without costing me a weeks pay in the process. The con to this approach is that it may not work and I may have to have someone install a different (aftermarket or OEM) kit. Regardless, I will have learned a great deal about the subject and shall share the experience in the forums.
Thanks again!

So since he stated it (as you stated), why did you state it too?
