Everything in life is negotiable. A business is free to sell anything they have for any amount over what they paid for it. There is NO firm, set sale price on anything that is published. You didn't look at the window sticker on your car & finance that amount, did you? It depends how hungry a salesman is to grab a sure sale before it walks out.

you are 100% right. but do you walk into a toys r us and try to negotiate toy prices with the manager for your kid? i dont and i dont know anyone that does. and to be honest with you, the dvd subscription cost is not like negotiating the cost of a car. i personally dont think a salesman is going to go out of his way for a "sure sale" on a few hundred dollar dvd subscription. just my 2 cents.

Toys R Us displays discounted prices. The auto industry displays List prices on everything. Not everbody pays list. Obviously you do. I don't. Even a waitress in a restaurant can throw you a free desert if she wants to. You'll never get one if you don't flirt or ask. She'll flirt with you for a bigger tip... all you can do is ask. If there are no takers, what did you lose?
