NJ, CONN, NY Euro Comand AM Radio Question
About to buy a euro comand unit but as wacky as this may sound if I cant listen to the Yankees on 880 AM I may pass. If I did my math right in 9khz incremets I can only get as close as 883khz. Anyone out there that can test that frequency out for me would get my vote on Nov. 15th!! Also, is the weather band totaly shot?
Thanks Much

Don't let BoSoxFan see this post. I didn't do Sat radio because it wouldn't receive broadcast stations, including, importantly, AM 880. BTW, on the wall of my office is a 60 x 40 inch photo of Yankee Stadium from the third deck behind home plate, where my seats are. Lets me think I'm at a ball game when I'm at my desk. 8-)
Anxiously, and I mean ANXIOUSLY, awaiting BklynBenz's test results. Oh, and any other cons (or pros) to the euro system would be helpful.
Thanks
I can feel it in my bones. This is the year. The curse is about to be broken.

Still interested to hear from any farther out euro users.
Thanks
I've found that the AM reception on my Euro COMAND works as well as my Land Rover HK radio. I travel all over the NY/NJ area and find the reception to be of the same quality.
BTW....If you have Voice command on your benz, you can tune the station in exactly...just say Frequency 7 7 0, and Comand will tune to it, then just save the station. I've set all my AM stations this way.
PS, LW is another band (no broadcasts in the US)....no weather on Euro units.
Most of what goes on down there are navigational beacons but there are voice services (very common in Russia).
Longwave broadcasts really need big antennas to get any sort of reception. They "suck" during the daytime and have alot of static. So, in a car, with the wimpy antenna we have, voice longwave broadcasts will be virtually impossible to hear and most of what you will hear will be morse code identifiers for navigational beacons.
