Aftermarket headrest for LCD screen for Benz?
I was recently told that there is a manufacture out there that made an OEM headrest replacement for Mercedes that will fit larger, widescreen LCD. Anyone heard or seen it?

Turbo][,
Savv is the manufacturer of the prefabricated OEM replacement headrest monitors for MBZ E-Class & ML Class. They come in a 5.6" & 7" screen size, list price for the 5.6" is $549 and 7" $699. I was inform by a Good Guys rep. that they will carry Savv products and sell them $50 below retail by early July.

Cool, cuz my local stereo place where I get my stuff told me he can sell me 2 headrest with 7" for $1000. That sounds pretty reasonable. I will have to check it out. Thanks for info.

I certainly agree with JamE55 that's a nice set-up you've got. I'm looking to add monitors on my ML and I live about 5 min. from Canoga Park, where's your cousins' shop located? Name? Previous shops I do business with are Competition Soundworks; Traffic Jamz and Mobile Fantasy.
Regards
Richard

Yes, I've seen that shop off Topanga Canyon Blvd but I never had the chance to check it out. It's a future project, but when I decide to upgrade I 'll contact you.
Thanks

That wood trim around those monitors does look really cool. The thing thats good about the savv monitors is that it comes built into a headrest, two fold because you don't have to cut holes in your existing headrest & you save a couple hundred on installation, but you don't get that flossin *** wood trim. Normal install is 150.00 per monitor, but savv all they do is pop out the old one and insert the new one, run wires through the seat and under a couple floor panels and connect it to the video outs or your systems brain, its so easy you can install your self. Its is also a top of the line lcd screen. The only problem is color matching, it look perfect in black & I'm told the tan interior is almost identical but if you have grey interior (like me) the color is about 10-15% colder, which you can bring it to a leather shop and the can dye it perfectly (but it will leave you with stiff *** headrests for a year) so I'm still contumplating. But if you have the money get that ish with the wood trim, you'll be getting road head just for that!

Myron&davis also have a complete headrest replacement for the Mercedes Benz. They have all the leather color, and you have a choice of 6.5" or 7" widescreen. They are about $450 ea.
They are pretty nice too

okay, my local stereo shop has them. I am planning to replace the 5.6" in mine with the Myron&Davis set. They are very nice, but they don't have the wood trim I don't think. I'll ask
